Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kurangnya kamampuan siswa kelas IX A MTs Negeri 1 Warudoyong dalam memakai undak-usuk basa Sunda. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen tanpa kelas kontrol. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik tes. Untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam undak-usuk basa Sunda digunakan analisis data dengan cara analisis statistik, yaitu uji normalitas data mengunakan chi-kuadrat, uji homogenitas data menggunakan uji F, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh data yang menggambarkan peningkatan kemampuan siswa antara prates dan pascates. Dalam prates, hanya lima siswa saja yang mampu memenuhi syarat kelulusan yaitu sekitar 16.13%, sedangkan dalam pascates jumlah siswa yang mampu meningkat menjadi 21 siswa yaitu sekitar 67.74%. Berdasarkan hasil uji t, terbukti bahwa thitung (11,93) > ttabel (2,46), artinya hipotesis diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas IX A MTs Negeri 1 Warudoyong Kota Sukabumi taun ajaran 2013/2014 dalam memakai undak-usuk basa Sunda. Kata Kunci : media pilem, undak-usuk basa Sunda. The lack of students’ ability of ninth graders MTs Negeri 1 Warudoyong in using undak usuk basa Sunda will be elaborated in this study. The quasi experimental method is used in this study that cannot be involved by control group. The test is used as a technique in conducting the study. For knowing the students’ ability in using undak usuk basa Sunda, statistical analysis will be used; hypothesis-test by using chi-kuadrat, homogeneity-test by using F-Test, and hypothesis-test by using T-Test. Pre-test and post-test are also related to the students’ ability. The result shows five students or 16.13% in pre-test. While twenty one students or 67.74% in post-test. It means that there is the increasing in pre-test and post-test. The data result of this study, T-Test, tvalue (11,93) > ttable (2,46), it means that the hypothesis is accepted. Based on the data result of this study, it shows media film can improve the students’ ability in using undak usuk basa Sunda. In this case, students’ of ninth graders in MTs Negeri 1 Warudoyong Sukabumi are the participants of this study. Keywords: film media, undak usuk basa Sunda
