Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul “Desain Didaktis Sifat-sifat Segiempat pada Pembelajaran Matematika di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Berdasarkan Learning Obstacle dan Learning Trajectory”. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesalahan-kesalahan konsep pada buku yang digunakan oleh siswa dalam pembelajaran sifat-sifat segiempat yang mengakibatkan adanya learning obstacle yang dialami siswa. Selain itu, buku tersebut tidak sampai pada konsep pengelompokkan jenis-jenis segiempat sehingga tidak ada kenaikan level berpikir geometri berdasarkan teori Van Hiele. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat desain didaktis yang diharapkan dapat meminimalisir learning obstacle. Desain didaktis juga disusun berdasarakan learning trajectory pada pembelajaran sifat-sifat segiempat kemudian diimplementasikan kepada siswa kelas VII di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) yang belum pernah mendapat pengajaran sifat-sifat segiempat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, serta studi dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa terjadi pengurangan learning obstacle siswa setelah mendapatkan pengajaran dengan desain didaktis yang disusun penulis. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa desain didaktis ini dapat meminimalisir learning obstacle yang ditemukan meskipun belum secara utuh dan dapat dijadikan salah satu rekomendasi bahan ajar pada pembelajaran sifat-sifat segiempat. The title of this study is "Didactic Design of Quadrilateral Characteristics on Mathematics Learning in Junior High School Based on Learning Obstacle and Learning Trajectory". This research was carried out correspondingly with the errors of concept in the book used by students in learning the quadrilateral characteristics which led to the learning obstacle experienced by the students. Moreover, the book used did not guide the students to the concept of grouping the types of quadrilateral so that there is no increase in the level of thinking of geometry based on the theory of the Van Hiele. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to create a didactic design that was expected to minimize the learning obstacle. The didactic design was also arranged based on the learning trajectory in learning the characteristic of quadrilateral and then implemented to seventh graders of Junior High School (SMP) who have never received any quadrilateral characteristics instruction. The method used in this study was qualitative method and the techniques employed for obtaining the data were observation, interview, and documentation study. The result showed that there was a reduction of students’ learning obstacle after getting the didactic design instruction arranged by the researcher. It can be concluded that the didactic design can minimize the learning obstacle discovered, though it is not yet fully covered and can be one of teaching material recommendations on the teaching of quadrilateral characteristics.
