Abstract

Laboratorium Desain Komunikasi Visual (DKV) sebagai pusat sumber belajar memainkan peran penting pada tingkat pendidikan menengah kejuruan. Fungsi utamanya adalah menyediakan fasilitas pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan Pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi ketersediaan dan kondisi fasilitas laboratorium DKV, proses pemanfaatan laboratorium yang mencakup proses persiapan, pelaksanaan, hingga tahap evaluasi pembelajaran, hambatan yang sering ditemui pada proses pemanfaatan laboratorium dan upaya dalam mengatasinya, serta terakhir, tanggapan dari guru dan siswa dalam pemanfaatan laboratorium pada proses pembelajaran. Pendekatan penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif digunakan sebagai metodologi penelitian ini dengan mengumpulkan data melalui proses wawancara terstruktur kepada 6 orang informan, observasi partisipasi pasif, dan studi dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diolah dan divalidasi menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode yang kemudian dilakukan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa laboratorium DKV di SMK Negeri 11 Bandung telah melengkapi fasilitas dengan baik dan digunakan secara komprehensif dalam seluruh tahap pembelajaran. Meskipun masih terdapat beberapa hambatan teknis dan keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, namun upaya konkret telah diambil untuk mengatasi tantangan ini. Akibatnya, baik guru maupun siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap pemanfaatan laboratorium DKV sebagai pusat sumber belajar di sekolah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMK Negeri 11 Bandung telah melakukan upaya yang baik dalam menggunakan laboratorium DKV sebagai salah satu pusat sumber belajar, meskipun masih terdapat kekurangan dalam pemanfaatannya. The Laboratory of Visual Communication Design as a learning resource center plays an important role at the level of vocation secondary education. Its main function is to provide learning facilities in accordance with educational needs. This study aims to identify the availability and condition of DKV laboratory facilities, the laboratory utilization process, which includes the preparation process, implementation, to the learning evaluation stage, obstacles that are often encountered in the laboratory utilization process and efforts to overcome them, and finally, the responses of teachers and students in using the laboratory in the learning process. The descriptive-qualitative research approach was used as the methodology of this study by collecting data through a structured interview process with 6 informants, passive participation observation and documentation study. The data obtained were then processed and validated using source triangulation and method triangulation techniques, followed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the DKV laboratory at SMK Negeri 11 Bandung has well-equipped facilities and is extensively used in all stages of learning. Although there are still some technical barriers and limited human resources, concrete efforts have been made to overcome these challenges. As a result, both teachers and students responded positively to the use of the DKV laboratory as a learning resource center in the school. The results indicate that SMK Negeri 11 Bandung has made good efforts in using the DKV laboratory as one of the learning resource centers, although there are still shortcomings in its use.
