Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan menulis teks persuasi yaitu kesulitan dalam menemukan ide, kurangnya minat siswa, kebingungan bagaimana cara memulai suatu tulisan persuasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks persuasi di kelas VIII. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas. Pembelajaran yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu model brainwriting berbantuan media poster yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Dalam pembelajaran model brainwriting berbantuan media poster, siswa diarahkan untuk saling menuangkan ide atau gagasannya secara tertulis berdasarkan tema poster tertentu dalam suatu kelompok. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan skor dalam aspek isi, struktur teks, kaidah kebahasaan, ejaan dan tanda baca. Dari siklus 1 sampai 2, rata-rata nilai aspek isi meningkat dari 69 menjadi 85; aspek struktur teks meningkat dari skor 64 menjadi 83; aspek argumen dan fakta meningkat dari skor 71 menjadi 82; aspek kaidah kebahasaan meningkat dari skor 63 menjadi 81; aspek ejaan dan tanda baca meningkat dari skor 44 menjadi 67. Pada siklus 1 hasil keterampilan menulis siswa paling tinggi memperoleh nilai 85 dan nilai paling rendah 27 dengan rata-rata nilai kelas 62. Pada siklus 2 mengalami peningkatan, nilai paling tinggi 95 dan nilai paling rendah 60 dengan rata-rata nilai kelas 80. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan menulis teks persuasi dapat ditingkatkan menggunakan model brainwriting berbantuan media poster. ; This research is motivated by the problem of writing persuasive text, namely difficulty in finding ideas, lack of student interest, confusion about how to start a persuasive writing. This study aims to improve persuasive text writing skills in class VIII. The research method used is class action research. The learning used in this study is the brainwriting model assisted by poster media which is carried out in two cycles. In learning the brainwriting model assisted by poster media, students are directed to express ideas in writing based on the theme of the poster in a group. The results showed an increase in scores in the aspects of content, text structure, language rules, spelling and punctuation. From cycle 1 to 2, the average score of the content aspect increased from 69 to 85; the structure aspect increased from a score of 64 to 83; aspects of arguments and facts increased from a score of 71 to 82; the linguistic rules aspect increased from a score of 63 to 81; the spelling and punctuation aspects increased from 44 to 67. In cycle 1 the results of students writing skills obtained the highest score of 85 and the lowest score of 27 with an average score of 62. In cycle 2, the highest score was 95 and the lowest score was 60 with an average class score of 80. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that persuasive text writing skills can be improved using the brainwriting model assisted by poster media.
