Abstract
Nilai nasionalisme merupakan nilai penting yang harus ditanamkan pada peserta didik sebagai upaya mengembangkan wawasan kebangsaan, kebhinekaan, dan integrasi bangsa. Rendahnya jiwa nasionalisme dapat menjadi ancaman terhadap persatuan bangsa. Nilai nasionalisme dapat ditemukan pada novel sejarah. Salah satunya adalah novel Di Balik Teduh Segara Jawa karya Mustofa Najib. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan stuktur dan nilai-nilai nasionalisme Di Balik Teduh Segara Jawa, serta memanfaatkan hasil analisis sebagai rancangan bahan ajar teks cerita sejarah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, novel ini dibangun atas 152 fungsi utama dan 225 sekuen yang saling menunjukkan hubungan kausalitas. Novel ini memiliki alur campuran karena terdiri dari 125 sekuen sorot balik (retrospeksi) dan 4 sekuen bayangan (prospektif). Novel ini melibatkan banyak tokoh, namun yang dianalisis sebanyak 26 tokoh. Tokoh tersebut terdiri dari tokoh fiksi dan faktual. Latar tempat yang digunakan pada novel ini sebagian besar terjadi di Pulau Jawa. Latar waktu memuat waktu bagian hari, minggu, bulan, dan tahun. Penulis menggunakan sudut pandang orang ketiga maha tau dan menggunakan tiga tipe penceritaan yaitu wicara yang dinarasikan, wicara yang dilaporkan dan wicara yang dialihkan. Tempo yang terdapat dalam novel ini berupa pemadatan dan pengembangan waktu. Frekuensi berupa cerita tunggalan, cerita rangkapan, dan cerita pengulangan. Nilai-nilai nasioanlisme dapat ditemukan pada aspek tokoh, latar, dan alur yakni berupa rasa cinta tanah air, patriotisme, harapan kemerdekaan, pemujaan terhadap pahlawan, bangga akan bahasa nasional, dan pengenangan kejayaan masa lalu. Hasil analisis tersebut dimanfaatkan dalam rancangan bahan ajar teks cerita sejarah di SMA dengan menyesuaikan kompetensi dasar di dalam kurikulum 2013. The value of nationalism is an important value that must be instilled in students as an effort to develop nationalism, diversity, and national integration. The low spirit of nationalism can be a threat to national unity. The value of nationalism can be found in historical novels. One of them is the novel Di Balik Teduh Segara Jawa by Mustofa Najib. This research used descriptive qualitative methods. The purpose of this research is to describe the structure and values of nationalism in the novel, as well as utilizing the results of the analysis as a design of teaching materials for historical story texts. Based on the results of the research, it was found that this novel is built on 152 main functions and 225 sequences which mutually show causality. This novel has a mixed plot because it consists of 124 flashback sequences (retrospective) and 4 shadow sequences (prospective). This novel involves many characters, but 26 characters are analyzed. The characters consist of fictional and factual characters. The settings of the places used in this novel mostly occur in Java. The time setting contains the time part of the day, week, month, and year. The author uses an all-knowing third-person point of view and uses three types of storytelling, that is narrated speech, reported speech and diverted speech. The tempo contained in this novel is in the form of condensation and development of time. The frequency is in the form of single stories, multiple stories, and repetition stories. The values of nationalism can be found in the aspects of character, setting, and plot, namely love for the motherland, patriotism, hopes for independence, worship of heroes, pride in the national language, and memories of past glories. The results of this analysis are utilized in the design of historical story text teaching materials in SMA by adjusting the basic competencies in the 2013 curriculum.
