Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pengajaran nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter kepada peserta didik sehingga mereka memiliki fondasi hidup bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur pembangun cerita novel, nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang termuat dalam novel, kelayakan novel sebagai bahan ajar, dan merancang bahan ajar berbentuk modul untuk kelas XII SMA berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data novel Na Willa dan Rumah dalam Gang karya Reda Gaudiamo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui alur di dalamnya novel ini menyajikan konflik utama yang dialami oleh Willa sebagai tokoh utama yang harus mengikuti orangtuanya pindah ke luar kota dan meninggalkan kehidupan lamanya di Surabaya yang menjadi latar tempat dominan dalam cerita. Gaya penceritaan disajikan melalui sudut pandang orang pertama utama serta penceritaan yang muncul berjenis gaya langsung, gaya tak langsung, serta ujaran yang diceritakan. Novel ini memiliki urutan waktu yang terdiri dari waktu fiksi, waktu wacana, retrospeksi, prospeksi, dan frekuensi. Adapun nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang termuat dalam novel yaitu nilai religius, nilai nasionalis, nilai mandiri, nilai gotong royong, dan nilai integritas. Hasil analisis diaplikasikan menjadi rancangan bahan ajar sastra di SMA dalam bentuk modul yang berisi sampul depan, hak cipta, kata pengantar, daftar isi, pendahuluan, uraian materi, rangkuman, latihan soal, penugasan mandiri, evaluasi, glosarium, dan sampul belakang. This research is motivated by the importance of teaching educational character values to students so that they have a foundation for social life. This study aims to describe the building structure of the novel's story, the character education values contained in the novel, the advisability of the novel as teaching material, and to design teaching materials in the form of modules for class XII SMA based on the results of this analysis. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with the data source of the novel Na Willa and Rumah dalam Gang by Reda Gaudiamo. The results of the study show that through the plot in this novel presents the main conflict experienced by Willa as the main character who has to follow her parents to move out of town and leave her old life in Surabaya which is the dominant setting in the story. The storytelling style is presented through the main first-person point of view and the storytelling that appears is in the direct, indirect, and utterances that are told. This novel has a time sequence consisting of fiction time, discourse time, retrospect, prospect, and frequency. The character education values contained in the novel are religious values, nationalist values, independent values, mutual cooperation values, and integrity values. The results of the analysis are applied to the design of literature teaching materials in SMA in the form of a module which contains the front cover, copyright, foreword, table of contents, introduction, material description, summary, practice questions, independent assignments, evaluation, glossary, and back cover.
