Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas 5 yang rendah pada pembelajaran IPA berdasarkan hasil kajian literatur. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN Gunung Parang Kota Sukabumi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai keterlaksanaan metode hypnoteaching pada pembelajaran IPA, serta mengetahui motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa setelah implementasi metode hypnoteaching. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pre-experiment dengan desain one-shot case study. Pada penelitian ini hanya menggunakan satu kelas dengan jumlah sampel 10 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pretest-postest, observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, observasi motivasi siswa, dan angket self-efficacy dan motivasi belajar siswa. Pada pelaksanaan treatment dilaksanakan pada Tema 1 Organ Gerak Hewan dan Manusia, Subtema 1 Organ Gerak Hewan Pembelajaran 1,2, dan 5 dengan materi organ gerak pada hewan vertebrata dan avertebrata. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan metode hypnoteaching terlaksana dengan baik dengan jumlah nilai rata-rata 93,8%, hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa implementasi metode hypnoteaching pada pembelajaran IPA kelas 5 telah terlaksana pada sebagian besar indikator. Motivasi belajar siswa meningkat setelah pelaksanaan treatment, hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis data observasi dan angket yang menunjukkan perolehan skor yang tinggi di setiap indikator. Peningkatan juga terjadi pada hasil belajar siswa dapat dilihat dari nilai hasil belajar pada posttest menunjukkan perolehan nilai lebih besar dibanding pretest, dengan nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 42, sedangkan nilai rata-nilai posttest sebesar 83, dengan nilai n-gain 0,71 yang masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi metode hypnoteaching pada pembelajaran IPA kelas 5 dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. ----- This research is based on the low motivation and learning outcomes of grade 5 students in science learning based on the results of literature studies. The research was conducted at SDN Gunung Parang, Sukabumi City. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the application of the hypnoteaching method in science learning, as well as to determine the motivation and learning outcomes of students after the application of the hypnoteaching method. Students' learning motivation increased after treatment, this can be seen from the results of observational data analysis and questionnaires which showed the acquisition of high scores on each indicator. An increase also occurred in student learning outcomes, this can be seen from the value of learning outcomes in the posttest, showing a higher score than the pretest, with an average pretest score of 42, while the posttest average value of 83, with an n-gain value. of 0.71 which is included in the high category. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the application of the hypnoteaching method in science learning for class V can increase students' motivation and learning outcomes.
