Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari implementasi kebijakan program Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) yang merupakan bagian dari Nawacita Presiden Joko Widodo – Jusuf Kalla dalam sistem pendidikan nasional yang tertuang dalam Peraturan Presiden No. 87 tentang Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana peran sekolah SMAN 1 Cimarga dalam menyelenggaraan program PPK untuk membentuk karakter siswa yang religius, nasionalis, mandiri, gotong royong dan berintegritas yang merupakan bagian dari lima nilai utama Penguatan pendidikan Karakter (PPK). Penelitian ini menjawab permasalahan penelitian yang telah dirumuskan, yaitu bagaiman perancangan, pelaksanaan dan hasil pembentukan karkater siswa di SMAN 1 Cimarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif jenis survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari kepala sekolah, keseluruhan guru yang berjumlah 32 orang, dan siswa kelas 11 yang diambil sampel sebanyak dengan 45 orang dengan menggunakan Teknik pengambilan simple random sampling. Teknik analisis yang dilakukan yaitu deskriptif presentase dan uji kai kuadrat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diambil kesimpulan : 1) Perancangan program PPK dilaksanakan dengan baik, hal ini berdasarkan dengan adanya tim pengembang PPK, kebijakan kepala sekolah, penanaman nilai-nilai dan optimalisasi kegiatan inti sekolah; 2) Pelaksanaan kegiatan-kegiatan PPK telah berjalan dengan baik dan konsisten, hal ini sesuai dengan pedoman pelaksanaan program PPK dari Kemendikbud; 3) Pembentukan karakter siswa berdasarkan hasil analisis tanggapan siswa menunjukkan karakteristik adanya nilai-nilai utama PPK yang telah tertanam dalam diri siswa. This research is motivated by the implementation of the Strengthening Character Education (PPK) program policy which is part of President Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla's Nawacita program in the national education system as stipulated in Presidential Regulation No. 87 concerning Strengthening Character Education (PPK). This study aims to reveal how the role of the school of SMAN 1 Cimarga in organizing the PPK program to shape the character of students who are religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation, and integrity which are part of the five main values of Strengthening Character Education (PPK). This study answers the research problems that have been formulated, namely how the design, implementation, and results of the formation of student characters at SMAN 1 Cimarga. This study used a descriptive type of survey method with a quantitative approach. The research instrument used a questionnaire, interview, and documentation study. The subjects of this study consisted of the principal, 32 total teachers, and 11th-grade students who were taken as a sample of 45 people using a simple random sampling technique. The analysis technique used is a descriptive percentage and kai squared test. Based on the research results, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1) The design of the PPK program is carried out well, this is based on the existence of the PPK development team, the principal's policies, the cultivation of values and optimization of the school's core activities; 2) The implementation of PPK activities has been going well and consistently, this is following the PPK program implementation guidelines from the Ministry of Education and Culture; 3) The formation of student character based on the analysis of student responses shows the characteristics of the main values of PPK that have been embedded in students.
