Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran kreatif matematis mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) dan pembelajaran langsung (PL) yang ditinjau berdasarkan Pengetahuan Awal Matematika (PAM) dan Adversity Quotient (AQ). Metode di dalam penelitian ini menggunakan mixed methods jenis sequential explanatory dengan tahap pertama merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 3x2 dan penelitian tahap kedua merupakan kualitatif dengan menggunakan Grounded Theory. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah Kalkulus Program Studi S-1 Pendidikan Matematika, sedangkan sampelnya sejumlah 107 mahasiswa yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling untuk menentukan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Selanjutnya kelas eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) dan kelas kontrol memperoleh pembelajaran langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran kreatif matematis antara mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran ADI lebih baik daripada pembelajaran langsung; (2) terdapat perbedaan pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran kreatif matematis mahasiswa berdasarkan level PAM (tinggi, sedang, rendah) dan level AQ (climber, camper, quitter); (3) tidak terdapat efek interaksi faktor pembelajaran dan level PAM terhadap pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran kreatif matematis; (4) tidak terdapat efek interaksi faktor pembelajaran dan level AQ terhadap pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran kreatif matematis; (5) kemampuan penalaran kreatif matematis mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran ADI dapat diperingkat ke dalam tiga level kemampuan berdasarkan kualitas dari empat kategori yaitu langkah awal, alur penyelesaian, konsep terkait, dan kekeliruan istilah matematis. ;---This study aims to obtain an overview of mathematical understanding and creative reasoning ability of students acquiring Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) and Direct Learning (DL) models which are reviewed based on Mathematical Prior Knowledge (MPK) and Adversity Quotient (AQ). The method of this study is a mixed method of the sequential explanatory type whose first stage is an experimental research with 3x2 factorial designs and the second stage is qualitative research using Grounded Theory. The population of this study is all Calculus course S-1 students of Mathematics Study Program, while the sample consists of 107 students selected by cluster random sampling technique to determine one experimental class and one control class. Furthermore, the experimental class acquires Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning, and the control class acquires direct learning. The results is show that (1) the achievement and improvement of mathematical understanding and creative reasoning ability between students who acquire ADI learning are better than those with direct learning; (2) there are differences in achievement and improvement in students' mathematical understanding and creative reasoning ability based on MPK level (high, moderate, low) and AQ level (climber, camper, quitter); (3) there is no interaction effect of learning factors and MPK levels on the achievement and improvement of mathematical understanding and creative reasoning ability; (4) there is no interaction effect of learning factors and AQ level on the achievement and improvement of mathematical understanding and creative reasoning ability; (5) the mathematical creative reasoning ability of students who acquire ADI learning can be ranked into three levels of ability based on the quality of the four categories; namely, the initial steps, completion course, related concepts, and mathematical term errors.
