Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan (1) kemampuan menyimak trailer film mahasiswa semester V Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis FPBS UPI, (2) kemampuan menulis karangan narasi bahasa Perancis, (3) mendeskripsikan tingkat korelasi antara kemampuan menyimak trailer film dengan kemampuan menulis karangan narasi bahasa Perancis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif korelasional yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak hubungan antara dua variable. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dan tes. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 orang mahasiswa semester V Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis FPBS UPI Tahun Akademik 2017/2018. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, nilai rata-rata dari tes kemampuan menyimak trailer film adalah 14,4 dari total skor 20, oleh karena itu kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyimak trailer film tergolong “baik”. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan menulis karangan narasi adalah 9,2 dari total skor 15, sehingga kemampuan menulis karangan narasi bahasa Perancis mahasiswa tergolong “cukup”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian korelasi koefisiensi product moment antara kemampuan menyimak trailer film dengan kemampuan menulis karangan narasi sebesar -0,08 . hal ini berarti bahwa nilai korelasi dianggap tidak ada, sedangkan korelasi determinasinya sebesar 0,64% yang berarti menyimak trailer film berkontribusi sangat kecil terhadap kemampuan menulis karangan narasi bahasa Perancis.---- This study aims at describing: (1) the students’ ability in listening movie trailer of the fifth semester of French Education Department at the Faculty of Language Education and Literature (FPBS) at Indonesia University of Education (UPI), (2) students’ ability in writing a narrative essay in French, (3) to describe the correlation between listening movie trailer and writing a narrative essay in French. This study uses descriptive correlational method of research conducted to determine whether or not the two variables correlate. While the data collection techniques used are literature and test studies. The instrument used in this research is a test. The sample used in this research is the characteristic of listening skill and writing skill of the 30 students of the fifth semester of French Education Department FPBS UPI 2017/2018. Based on the results of the research, the average score of the listening movie trailer test is 14.4 from the total score of 20, therefore the students' ability in listening movie trailer is "good". While the average score of narrative writing ability is 9.2 from the total score of 15, so the ability of writing a narrative essay of the students is classified "enough". Based on the results of research correlation coefficient product moment between the ability to listen to movie trailers with the ability to write narrative essay of -0.08. This means that the correlation value is considered non-existent, while the correlation determinations of 0.64% means that comprehending movie trailer gives small contributes in writing narrative essay in French language.
