Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta di lapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa masih rendah dan banyak di antara siswa yang memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM. Dalam penelitian ini diujicobakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah bermedia lagu balada. Model ini memilikiprinsipbahwabelajarharusberasaldarimasalah yang ada di dalamrealitaskehidupansiswa.Sehinggasiswamampumenggunakanpengetahuan yang dimilikinyauntukmemecahkanpermasalahan yang munculdalam proses pembelajaran. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan apakah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuanmenulistekseksposisi di kelas eksperimen dankelaskontrol. Kelaseksperimenmendapat proses pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasismasalahbermedialagubalada dan kelas kontrol tidak menggunakan model tersebut. Sampel dalam penelitian ini merupakan siswa kelas VII SMPN 1Rancaekek tahun ajaran 2016/2017 dengan jumlah 60 orangsiswadenganjumlah30siswa per kelasnyadan diperoleh tidak secara acak. Metode penelitian inimenggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Hasil tesawal di kelas eksperimen menunjukkan rata-rata nilai 56,96 sedangkan kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata nilai 62,50. Hasil tesakhir di kelas eksperimen menunjukkan rata-rata nilai 81,66 sedangkan kelas kontrol menunjukkan rata-rata nilai 75,60. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung> ttabel yakni 3,932 > 2,000artinya H0(hipotesis nol) ditolak. Hal tersebutmenunjukkanbahwaterdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks eksposisi sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model pembelajaran berbasismasalahbermedialagubalada. Penerapan model inimemberikanpengaruh yang baik dalam proses pembelajaran menulis teks eksposisi. Kata kunci: model pembelajaranberbasismasalah, lagubalada, pembelajaran menulis, teks eksposisi. Abstract This research is backgrounded by the facts in the field that shows that the ability to write expositional text of students is still low and many of the students who score under the KKM (the minimum standard in Indonesian language subject). In this experiment, we tested the problem-based learning model with ballad song. This model has the principle that learning must come from the problems that exist in the realities of student life. So that students are able to use the knowledge they have to solve the problems that arise in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to describe whether there is a significant difference between the ability to write expository text in the experimental class and control class. The experimental class received a learning process using a problem-based learning model with a ballad song and a control class not using the model. The sample in this study is the students of class VII SMPN 1 Rancaekek academic year 2016/2017 with the number of 60 students with the number of 30 students per class and obtained not randomly. This research method using quasi experimental method with research design nonequivalent control group design. The result of pretest in the experimental class shows the average value of 56.96 while the control class with an average value of 62.50. Post test results in the experimental class showed an average of 81.66 while the control class showed an average of 75.60. Based on hypothesis test results obtained t count> ttable is 3.932> 2,000 means H0 or the null hypothesis rejected. It shows that there are significant differences to the students' ability in writing exposition texts before and after the implementation of the problem-based learning model of ballad songs.
