Abstract

Peranan media pembelajaran sangat penting dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar.
Pemanfaatan media video animasi menjadi alternatif pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan
hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar
sebelum dengan sesudah penggunaan media video animasi dan media video explainer
berbasis YouTube. Penelitian yang dilakukan diharapkan dapat memberi kontribusi baru
dalam pembelajaran geografi pada umumnya, dan khususnya bagi SMA Negeri 1 Soreang.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen. Variabel penelitian ini ialah
efektivitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1
Soreang dengan populasi kelas XI IPS. Subjek penelitian ini peserta didik kelas XI IPS 3
(kelas eksperimen) dan peserta didik kelas XI IPS 2 (kelas kontrol). Untuk instrumen
pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, lembar observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian
menunjukan bahwa : 1). Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum dengan sesudah
penggunaan media video animasi di kelas XI IPS 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Hal ini
dibuktikan dengan hasil uji-t dengan uji Wilcoxon sehingga hipotesis pertama (Ha)
diterima dan (Ho) ditolak dengan nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. 2). Terdapat perbedaan
hasil belajar sebelum dengan sesudah penggunaan media video animasi di kelas XI IPS 2
sebagai kelas kontrol. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji-t dengan uji Wilcoxon sehingga
hipoteis kedua (Ha) diterima dan (Ho) ditolak dengan nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. 3).
Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan
media video aimasi dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan media video explainer
berbasis YouTube. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji-t dengan Mann-Whitney sehingga
hipoteis ketiga (Ha) diterima dan (Ho) ditolak dengan nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,044 < 0,05.
Hasil belajar kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan media video animasi lebih baik
dibandingkan kelas kontrol yang tanpa menggunakan media video animasi.

The role of learning media is very important in efforts to improve learning outcomes.
Utilization of animated video media is an alternative learning to improve student learning
outcomes. This study aims to determine differences in learning outcomes before and after
the use of animated video media and YouTube-based explainer video media. It is hoped
that the research conducted will provide a new contribution to learning geography in
general, and especially for SMA Negeri 1 Soreang. The research method used is quasi�experimental. The variables of this study are the effectiveness of learning and learning
outcomes. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Soreang with a population of
class XI IPS. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPS 3 (experimental class)
and students of class XI IPS 2 (control class). For data collection instruments using
questionnaires, observation sheets and tests. The research results show that: 1). There are
differences in learning outcomes before and after the use of animated video media in class
XI IPS 3 as an experimental class. This is evidenced by the results of the t-test with the
Wilcoxon test so that the first hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and (Ho) is rejected with a sig.
(2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. 2). There are differences in learning outcomes before and after the
use of animated video media in class XI IPS 2 as the control class. This is evidenced by the
results of the t-test with the Wilcoxon test so that the second hypothesis (Ha) is accepted
and (Ho) is rejected with a sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. 3). There are differences in
student learning outcomes between the experimental class that uses animated video media
and the control class that uses YouTube-based explainer video media. This is evidenced by
the results of the Mann-Whitney t-test so that the third hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and
(Ho) is rejected with a sig value. (2-tailed) 0.044 < 0.05. The learning outcomes of the
experimental class using animated video media were better than the control class without
using animated video media.
