Abstract
This study is entitled "The Influence of Learning Mathematics Using the Realistic Mathematical Educator (RME) Learning Model on Learning Outcomes of Grade IV Elementary School Students." This research is motivated by the low cognitive learning outcomes of students in learning mathematics, which is wrong due to the ineffectiveness of learning because they still use conventional methods where the teacher only conveys material contained in student textbooks so that students become passive during the learning process. This study aims to: (1) describe mathematics learning outcomes using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning model for class IV at one of Jatibening Elementary Schools, Bekasi City; (2) Describing Mathematics Learning Outcomes for Class IV Using Conventional Learning Models at One of the SDN Jatibening in Bekasi City; (3) Describe the effect of using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning model on learning outcomes in mathematics at one of the Class IV SDN in Jatibening District, Bekasi City. This research is a quasi-experimental quantitative study with a non-equivalent kontrol group approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, pre- and post-testing, and documentation. This study's population was fourth-grade students from one of Bekasi City's Jatibening Public Elementary Schools during semester I of the 2022/2023 school year, with a sample size of 15 students from the experimental kontrol class and 15 students from the comparison class.The results of this study indicate that there is an influence on student learning outcomes using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning model, as seen from the significant difference between the kontrol class and the experimental class on the average test results and strengthened by the hypothesis test with a significance value obtained below the significance level.
