Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pentingnya literasi lingkungan agar siswa sejak dini peduli terhadap lingkungan dan keterampilan berpikir kritis di abad dua puluh satu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh pembelajaran Experiential Field Trip terhadap literasi lingkungan dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan tipe nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VA sebagai kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas VB sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan masing-masing siswa dalam kelas tersebut berjumlah 25 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan non-tes, instrumen tes berupa soal pilihan ganda (PG) untuk mengukur 2 indikator pada literasi lingkungan, yakni indikator pengetahuan lingkungan dan keterampilan kognitif, soal uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis , dan instrumen non-tes berupa pernyataan angket untuk mengukur 2 indikator pada literasi lingkunga yakni sikap peduli lingkungan dan perilaku pro-lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran Experiential Field Trip berpengaruh positif terhadap literasi lingkungan dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Hal tersebut terbukti bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara literasi lingkungan dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikannya pembelajaran Experiential Field Trip pada materi siklus air. ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the importance of environmental literacy so that students are aware of the environment and have critical thinking skills in the twenty-first century. This study aims to examine the effect of Experiential Field Trip learning on environmental literacy and critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design type. The subjects of this study were students of class VA as the control class and students of class VB as the experimental class with 25 students in each class. The instruments used in this research are test and non-test, the test instrument is in the form of multiple choice questions (PG) to measure 2 indicators of environmental literacy, namely indicators of environmental knowledge and cognitive skills, and essay questions to measure critical thinking skills, and non-test instruments. The test is in the form of a questionnaire statement to measure 2 indicators of environmental literacy, namely the attitude of caring for the environment and pro-environmental behavior. The results showed that the experiential field trip learning had a positive effect on environmental literacy and critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. It is proven that there is a significant difference between environmental literacy and students' critical thinking skills before and after being given Experiential Field Trip learning on the water cycle material.
