Abstract
The lack of learners’ interest in the digital learning material became the main background of this study. Participants felt that the textbooks used were not yet capable of self-study, lacking motivation, and they needed interactive learning materials. Therefore, this study aimed to create a learning material that can support the learners’ needs, which may support them in learning independently and increase their motivation. The research methodology used in this study was Research and Development (R&D) by adopting the ADDIE research design that consists of 5 steps, they are (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. In assessing the feasibility of interactive e-book, the validation was done by experts in content and media. The content and media validation was undertaken by experts that consist of 3 physics lecturers each. The results of content validation showed an average attendance of 91.7%, no misconceptions in the material, and a CVI score is 0.8 for validation of competency tests. And the media validation results showed an average attendance of 82.17%, and a CVI score of 1 for validating interactive e-book interactivity. Then limited trials were conducted on 98 participants in self-study. The result was that interactive e-books received positive responses from participants.
