Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 yang melanda seluruh negeri di berbagai negara termasuk Indonesia menyebabkan terhambatnya hampir di seluruh bidang termasuk bidang pendidikan. SE Mendikbud RI Nomor 4 Tahun 2020 menyatakan bahwa proses belajar mengajar dilakukan di rumah melalui pembelajaran daring/jarak jauh. Siswa SMK yang dituntut memiliki kompetensi keterampilan praktik tidak mendapatkan kompetensi tersebut karena pembelajaran bersifat daring sehingga munculah keluhan dari guru dan siswa. Selama pandemi siswa belum pernah melakukan praktikum, sehingga siswa tidak mempunyai pengalaman praktik. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian ini untuk melihat bagaimana efektivitas dan karakteristik pembelajaran daring sehingga dapat menentukan model hipotetik pembelajaran daring untuk SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil menunjukkan tujuan dari pembelajaran daring telah tercapai akan tetapi masih banyak respon yang cenderung negatif dari siswa mengenai pembelajaran daring yang dilakukan. Hal ini menandakan bahwa efektivitas pembelajaran daring belum optimal. Sementara karakteristik pembelajaran daring sudah terpenuhi dengan karakteristik pembelajaran bersifat terbuka, pembelajaran mandiri, dan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Model hipotetik yang sesuai dengan hal ini adalah model pembelajaran yang berbasis Virtual Reality (VR). Maka, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran daring yang dilakukan belum efektif dengan karakteristik pembelajaran sudah bersifat terbuka, pembelajaran mandiri, dan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dengan model hipotetik pembelajaran daring yang efektif untuk SMK adalah model pembelajaran berbasis Virtual Reality (VR). The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the whole country in various countries including Indonesia has hampered almost all fields including education. SE Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4 of 2020 states that the teaching and learning process is carried out at home through online/distance learning. Vocational High School students who are required to have practical skill competencies do not get these competencies because learning is online so there are complaints from teachers and students. During the pandemic students have never done practicum, so students do not have practical experience. Therefore, this study was conducted to see how the effectiveness and characteristics of online learning are so that it can determine a hypothetical model of online learning for SMK. This study uses a descriptive type of research with a qualitative approach. The results show that the objectives of online learning have been achieved, but there are still many negative responses from students regarding online learning. This indicates that the effectiveness of online learning is not optimal. Meanwhile, the characteristics of online learning have been met with the characteristics of open learning, independent learning, and utilizing information and communication technology. The hypothetical model that fits this is a learning model based on Virtual Reality (VR). So, it can be concluded that online learning has not been effective with the characteristics of open learning, independent learning, and utilizing information and communication technology.
