Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGARUH POP-UP BOOK TERHADAP PENGUASAAN KONSEP DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS V MATERI SIKLUS AIR (Penelitian Pre-Experimental pada Materi Siklus Air terhadap Siswa Kelas V di SD Negeri I Karangampel Kidul Kec. Karangampel, Kab. Indramayu) Oleh Umi Salamah 1800343 Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya penggunaan media dalam proses pembelajaran serta para guru dan siswa SD Negeri I Karangampel Kidul yang belum mengenal pop-up book sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan bantuan pop-up book pada materi siklus air, serta untuk mengetahui penguasaan konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa pada materi siklus air dengan bantuan pop-up book. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode Pre-Experimental dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah kelas V siswa SD Negeri I Karangampel Kidul. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes penguasaan konsep, serta angket motivasi belajar siswa. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa 1) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan bantuan pop-up book materi siklus air terlaksana secara efektif dengan kategori baik sekali; 2) Penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi siklus air dengan bantuan pop-up book berdasarkan penghitungan analisis uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan paired sample t-test diperoleh nilai peluang (p-value) Sig. = 0,000 < α maka tolak H0 lalu terima H1 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh pop-up book terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa dengan besar pengaruh 65,37% sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Didapatkan nilai r = 0,808 tergolong sebagai korelasi yang sangat kuat antara pretest dan posttest dengan peningkatan sebesar 44% dari hasil penghitungan gain normal; 3) Rata-rata persentase motivasi belajar siswa pada materi siklus air dengan bantuan pop-up book sebesar 89% dengan kesimpulan bahwa hampir seluruh siswa memiliki motivasi belajar dengan sikap positif. ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF POP-UP BOOK TOWARD CONCEPTS MASTERY AND STUDENT LEARNING MOTIVATION TO THE 5th GRADE STUDENTS ON WATER CYCLE MATERIAL (A Pre-Experimental Research on the Water Cycle toward the 5th Grade Students of Karangampel Kidul 1 Elementary School, Indramayu Region) By Umi Salamah 1800343 This research is based on the lack of using media in the learning process. Also, teachers and students of Karangampel Kidul 1 elementary were not knowing the pop-up book as one of learning media. This research aimed to measure the learning process using pop-up book on water cycle material, the concept mastery, and student learning motivation on the water cycle material using pop-up book material media. This research used the Pre Experimental method with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample of this research was the 5th grade of Karangampel kidul 1 elementary students. The data collection was conducted using observation, concept mastery test, and students learning motivation scale. This research showed that 1) the learning process using pop-up book on the water cycle material was implemented effectively with the excellent category; 2) students’ concept mastery on water cycle material using pop-up book, based on hypothesis test Analysis by using paired sample t-test, obtained the probability value (p-value) Sig. = 0,000 < α then rejected H0 and accepted H1, which meant there was an influence of using pop-up book toward student concept mastery with the influence percentage of 65,37%, while other factors influenced the rest. Moreover, obtained r value = 0,808 as the solid correlation between pre-test and post-test with the improvement was 44% from the expected gain counting results; 3) The average students’ learning motivation percentage on the water cycle using pop-up book material was 89%.
