Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh seringnya penggunaan buku teks sebagai bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran. Buku teks yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran belum bisa meningkatkan kemampuan anak dalam literasi membaca. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, untuk mengetahui ketepatan atau kesesuaian bahan ajar teks cerita pendek pada buku siswa kelas VI sekolah dasar kurikulum 2013. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah pendekatan kualitatif jenis analisis isi (content analysis) dengan metode analisis isi wacana. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kriteria bahan bacaan anak menurut Fountas dan Pinnell yang telah dimodifikasi USAID. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan sepuluh teks cerpen yang dianalisis hanya memenuhi bebrapa kriteria bahasa/kosakata, satu teks cerpen memenuhi selurh kriteria tata cetak, satu teks memenuhi selurh kriteria prediksi isi teks, satu teks memenuhi seluruh kriteria ilustrasi/gambar, dan sepuluh teks memenuhi kriteria isi dan konsep. Berdasarkan hasil temua dapat disimpulkan bahwa teks cerpen yang dianalisis belum sepenuhnya memenuhi kriteria bahan bacaan anak menurut Fountas dan Pinnell yang telah dimodifikasi USAID. Perbaikan terhadap teks cerpen pada buku siswa kelas VI sekolah dasar penting dilakukan agar teks yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran sesuai dengan kriteria bahan bacaan anak. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah terciptanya teks cerpen yang sesuai dengan kriteria bahan bacaan anak.----- This research is motivated by the frequent use of textbooks as teaching materials in learning. Textbooks used in learning have not been able to improve children's ability in reading literacy. The purpose of this study, to find out the accuracy or suitability of short story text teaching materials in the book of students grade VI elementary school curriculum 2013. The method used in research is a qualitative approach of the type of content analysis (content analysis) with the method of analysis of the content of discourse. The instruments used in the study were criteria for child reading materials according to Fountas and Pinnell that USAID had modified. Some language/ vocabulary criteria, one short story text meets the criteria of print, one text meets the criteria for predicting the content of the text, one text meets all the criteria of illustration / image, and ten texts meet the criteria of content and concept. Based on the results of the meeting it can be concluded that the short story text analyzed has not fully met the criteria of child reading material according to Fountas and Pinnell that have been modified by USAID. Improvements to the short story text in the books of grade VI elementary school students are important so that the text used in the learning process is in accordance with the criteria of the child's reading material. The implication of this study is the creation of short story texts that fit the criteria of children's reading materials.
