Abstract

This research is motivated by the low value of student and parent satisfaction related to the communication that exists between teachers and students in the learning process that is not in accordance with the target level of consumer satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of directive speech acts and to reveal the factors that influence the directive speech acts of teachers and students in the lower grades of Daarut Tauhiid Elementary School. In this study, a qualitative approach is used with a qualitative descriptive method. sabjeck in this study are all the speeches used by teachers and students in learning in the lower grades of Daarut Tauhiid Elementary School, which are obtained through direct observation. Data collection in this study is the method of listening to the recording technique, listening technique, and note-taking technique. Data analysis in this study used a pragmatic approach. The results of this study indicate that in the implementation of low-grade teacher learning, namely grade one and two, they still use a lot of question sentences but lack contextual meaning that explores the material being studied. In addition, teachers still use command sentences more than advice sentences in the learning process. The factors that influence the learning process are speakers and interlocutors where the communication process that occurs between teachers and students has a lot of speech contexts. This means that every sentence conveyed by the teacher to students has meaning in learning. Keywords: Directive Speech Acts, Low Grade, Elementary School
