Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui muatan nilai-nilai karakter yang terdapat pada Buku Teks Pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial pada kelas tujuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi atau (content analysis) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan dua buku Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial kelas tujuh yang diberi kode buku A dan B. Pemilihan sumber data berdasarkan sumber belajar yang digunakan di SMP Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil adopsi dari Instrumen Kelayakan Buku Teks dari Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kesesuaian isi materi dalam Buku Teks Pelajaran IPS dalam perspektif Pendidikan Karakter secara umum sudah termuat nilai-nilai karakter. Penyajian muatan nilai-nilai karakter termuat ke dalam materi pembelajaran, membangun konsep, telaah, uji kompetensi, soal latihan, dan penyajian ilustrasi seperti gambar dan tabel.Akan tetapi terdapat perbedaan akomodasi nilai-nilai karakter dari kedua buku teks yang telah ditelaah. Buku Teks A cenderung lebih banyak mengakomodasi nilai-nilai karakter dibandingkan Buku Teks B. Kata kunci: Buku Teks Pelajaran IPS, Kesesuaian Isi, Kesesuaian Penyajian, Pendidikan Karakter THE CHARGE OF CHARACTER VALUES IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCE TEXTBOOK WITH THE 2013 CURRICULUM FOR THE SEVENTH GRADE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL This study aims to determine the content of character values contained in the Social Science Textbook in seventh grade. This study uses a content analysis method (content analysis) with a qualitative approach. Sources of data in this study were to use two seventh grade social science books coded books A and B. The selection of data sources was based on the learning sources used in the Junior High School Pilot Laboratory of UPI Bandung. The instrument used in this study was the adoption of the Textbook Feasibility Instrument from the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP). The results showed that the suitability of the material content in the Social Studies Textbook in the perspective of Character Education in general already contained character values. The presentation of the content of character values is included in learning materials, concept building, studies, competency tests, practice questions, and illustration presentation such as pictures and tables. However, there are differences in the accommodation of character values from the two textbooks that have been studied. Text Book A tends to accommodate more character values than Text Book B.
