Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kekeliruan serta faktor penyebab siswa melakukan kekeliruan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita yang berkaitan dengan operasi hitung pada pecahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus. Partisipan yang terlibat terdiri dari dua belas siswa dan satu guru kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu hasil tes dan wawancara. Instrumen utama yaitu peneliti sendiri, dengan instrumen pendamping berupa soal dan pedoman wawancara. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa jenis-jenis kekeliruan yang dilakukan oleh beberapa siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita yang berkaitan dengan operasi hitung pada pecahan diantaranya adalah miskonsepsi dalam menuliskan kalimat matematika, miskonsepsi dalam menuliskan pecahan senilai, miskonsepsi dalam menentukan bentuk persen dari sebuah bilangan, mistake dalam operasi hitung pada bilangan desimal, mistake pada operasi hitung bilangan pecahan, mistake dalam menuliskan pecahan senilai dan mistake pada operasi hitung pecahan. Faktor penyebab terjadinya kekeliruan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita yang berkaitan dengan operasi hitung pada pecahan diantaranya yaitu kondisi sekarang yang adanya wabah pandemic Covid 19 yang menimpa Indonesia. Sehingga pembelajaran dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan sistem Belajar Dari Rumah (BDR). Sistem BDR pada pembelajaran matematika ini mengakibatkan siswa keliru menuliskan kalimat matematika, keliru menggunakan data yang digunakan, keliru dalam melakukan perhitungan dan keliru dalam menarik kesimpulan dari hasil jawaban siswa. This study aims to describe the types of errors and the factors that cause students to make mistakes in solving story problems related to arithmetic operations on fractions. This research is a case study research. The participants involved consisted of twelve students and one fifth grade’s teacher. The data collection techniques used were test results and interviews. The main instrument is the researcher himself, with accompanying instruments in the form of questions and interview guidelines. From this study, it was concluded that the types of errors made by some students in solving story problems related to arithmetic operations on fractions include misconceptions in writing mathematical sentences, misconceptions in writing equivalent fractions, misconceptions in determining the percent form of a number, mistakes in arithmetic operations on decimal numbers, errors in counting fractions, errors in writing equivalent fractions and mistakes in counting fractions. Factors causing student errors in solving story problems related to arithmetic operations on fractions include the current condition of the Covid 19 pandemic outbreak that hit Indonesia. So that learning is carried out by applying the Learning From Home (BDR) system. The BDR system in mathematics learning causes students to write down mathematical sentences incorrectly, use the data used incorrectly, make mistakes in calculating and draw conclusions from the results of students' answers.
