Abstract

Penelitian membahas tentang profil self-esteem pada siswa underachiever. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu mendeskripsikan gambaran umum dan aspek-aspek self-esteem pada siswa underachiever serta untuk mengetahui program hipotetik bimbingan dan konseling berdasarkan profil self-esteem pada siswa underachiever kelas XI di MA Persis Tarogong Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021. Terdapat 29 siswa yang dijadikan sebagai sampel dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu siswa yang dikategorikan sebagai siswa underachiever. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kuantitatif, dan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah angket self-esteem yang digunakan untuk mengungkap tingkat self-esteem pada siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) gambaran umum self-esteem siswa underachiever sebagian besar berada pada kategori sedang yaitu 82.76% ; (2) dari empat aspek yaitu aspek kesuksesan, nilai, aspirasi dan daya tahan pencapaian skor tertinggi yaitu pada aspek aspirasi yaitu 71.67%. This study discusses the profile of self-esteem in underachiever students. The purpose of this study is to describe the overview and aspects of self-esteem in underachiever students and to know the hypothetical program of guidance and counseling based on the profile of self-esteem in underachiever students in grade XI at MA Persis Tarogong School Year 2020/2021. 29 students were sampled and sampled using purposive sampling techniques, namely students who were categorized as underachiever students. The approach used in research is quantitative and uses descriptive methods. The instrument used in the study was a self-esteem questionnaire used to reveal the level of self-esteem in students. The results showed (1) the overview of self-esteem of underachiever students was mostly in the moderate category of 82.76% ; (2) from four aspects, namely the aspects of success, value, aspiration and durability of achieving the highest score, namely in the aspect of aspiration is 71.67%.
