    Abstract

    Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus untuk menentukan apakah anak usia dini menunjukkan karakteristik perilaku stres akibat pandemi virus corona, bagaimana dampaknya, dan bagaimana orangtua mengatasinya. Sebagai partisipan adalah tiga orang ibu yang memiliki anak usia dini berusia 5-6 tahun, yang menunjukkan indikasi perubahan perilaku akibat pandemi virus corona. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara semi-terstruktur dan proses triangulasi melalui beberapa kali wawancara yang terinci dan mendalam dengan partisipan, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga anak usia dini teridentifikasi menunjukkan karakteristik perilaku stres, yaitu cemas dan gelisah, gerak mondar-mandir, moody, mengetuk dan menggigit pensil, mencorat-coret, menggigit kuku, mengemut jari, dan memainkan rambut. Sementara dampak perilaku stres menyebabkan anak menjadi : manja, pasif, sensitif, mudah marah-marah, mudah menangis, mengalami mimpi buruk/mengigau, dan keluhan sakit perut. Sebagian orangtua cenderung membiarkan perubahan perilaku anak yang tidak biasanya, bila dirasa tidak mengganggu aktivitas belajarnya, turun tangan langsung mengatasi kesulitan anak, menunjukkan perhatian dengan bicara lemah lembut untuk menenangkan dan membujuk anak yang moody, mengkondisikan anak agar mengerti tugas dan tanggung jawabnya, menegur dan mengingatkan anak.

    ABSTRACT
    STRESSFUL BEHAVIORS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD
    DUE TO THE CORONA VIRUS PANDEMIC

    The design of this study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach to determine whether early childhood shows the characteristics of stressful behavior due to the corona virus pandemic, how it impacts, and how parents cope with it. As participants were three mothers who have early childhood aged 5-6 years, which shows indications of changes in behavior due to the corona virus pandemic. The data was collected using semi-structured interview techniques and the triangulation process through several detailed and in-depth interviews with participants.The results showed that the three identified early childhood showed characteristics of stressful behavior, namely anxiety and restlessness, pacing, moody, tapping and pencil biting, scribbling, nail biting, finger chewing, and hair play. Meanwhile, the impact of stressful behavior causes children to become spoiled, passive, sensitive, irritable, cry easily, experience nightmares / delirium, and complain of stomach pain. Some parents tend to allow unusual changes in children's behavior, if they feel they do not interfere with their learning activities, intervene directly to overcome the child's difficulties, show concern by softly speaking to calm and persuade a moody child, condition the child to understand their duties and responsibilities, admonish and reminds the child.
