Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menjelaskan maksim-maksim Prinsip Kerjasama pada novel La Fiancée était à Dos d’Âne et 99 Francs. (2) Menganalisis maksim yang paling dominan pada novel La Fiancée était à Dos d’Âne dan 99 Francs. (3) Menggambarkan perbedaan tuturan wanita dan pria yang ditemukan pada novel La Fiancée était à Dos d’Âne dan 99 Francs. (4) Menampilkan aplikasi prinsip kerjasama dari tuturan wanita dan pria pada pembelajaran. Objek penelitian ini merupakan novel La Fiancée était à Dos d’Âne dan 99 Francs. Penulis menggunakan teori prinsip kerjasama Grice, dan teori perbedaan tuturan Lakoff dan Xia. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keempat maksim; maksiml kuantitas, maksim kualitas, maksim relevansi, dan maksim cara ditemukan pada semua percakapan dari tokoh wanita maupun pria. Baik tokoh wanita maupun pria keduanya mematuhi maupun melanggar maksim-maksim tertentu. Pelanggaran maksim kuantitas pada tuturan pria mendominasi dengan perolehan 22,6%, sementara itu tokoh wanita pematuhan maksim kuantitas mendominasi, dengan 21%. Perbedaan tuturan antara pria dan wanita dapat dilihat dari lima aspek, yaitu aspek kosakata, aspek sikap penggunaan bahasa, aspek cara, dan aspek dalam pemilihan topik. Selanjutnya, pembelajaran mengenai prinsip kerjasama dapat diaplikasikan pada pengajaran pragmatik pada mata.kuliah Linguistik. This research aims to: (1) Explain the maxims of the principle of discourse cooperation of female figures and male figures exist in the novel La Fiancée Était À Dos d’Âne and 99 Francs. (2) analyze the most dominant maxims in the novel La Fiancée Était À Dos d’Âne and 99 Francs. (3) Describe the differences in the speech of the female and male figures found in the novel La Fiancée Était À Dos d’Âne and 99 Francs. (4) Present the application of the principle of discourse cooperation of female figures and male figures in teaching. The objects of this research are the novel La Fiancée était à Dos d’Âne by Vénus Khoury-Ghata and 99 Francs by Frédéric Beigbeder. We use the theory of cooperation principle by Grice, and the theory of difference in speech for men and women by Lakoff and Xia. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive. The research result shows that the four maxims of the principle of cooperation; the maxim of quantity, the maxim of quality, the maxim of relation, and the maxim of modality are found in all the dialogues of female and male characters. Male and female characters, they commit obedience also violations of certain maxims of the principle of cooperation. The violation of the maxim of quantity is more dominant, that is 22.6% for the violation of the maxim of quantity by men, however for female figures, and the obedience of the maxim of quantity is more dominant with 21%. The differences in speech between men and women can be seen in the four aspects observed; those are the aspect of vocabulary, aspect of attitude of language, aspect of manner, and aspect of subject’s selection. Besides, learning the principle of cooperation can be applied in pragmatics lessons for the course of Linguistics. Keywords: Cooperative principle, speech, novel.
