Abstract
Penelitian mengkaji kecenderungan kualitas persahabatan pada mahasiswa semester VI FIP UPI tahun akademik 2020/2021. Tujuan penelitian adalah memperoleh gambaran umum tentang kualitas persahabatan, gambaran umum tentang setiap aspek kualitas persahabatan pada mahasiswa, dan implikasinya bagi layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Kualitas persahabatan merupakan berfungsinya secara positif hubungan yang sangat dekat antara dua atau lebih individu yang mampu mengatasi segala konflik yang terjadi. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester VI FIP UPI. Sampel penelitian melibatkan 245 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari program studi Administrasi Pendidikan, Bimbingan dan Konseling, Pendidikan Khusus, Pendidikan Masyarakat, Perpustakaan dan Informasi, PGPAUD, PGSD, Psikologi, dan Teknologi Pendidikan. Teknik pengumpulan data kualitas persahabatan menggunakan instrumen Friendship Quality Questionnaire yang dikembangkan oleh Parker & Asher (1993) dan telah diadaptasi oleh Septiana, N (2016) dan Ramadani, N (2017) dengan jumlah 36 item pernyataan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara umum kualitas persahabatan mahasiswa semester VI FIP UPI tahun akademik 2020/2021 berada pada kategori tinggi. Tingginya perilaku positif (saling tolong menolong, memberikan dukungan, menjadi teman curhat, dan sebagainya) dan rendahnya perilaku negatif (intensitas konflik, intensitas pengkhianatan, persaingan dan sebagainya) dalam kualitas persahabatan, telah dimiliki oleh mahasiswa semester VI FIP UPI. Mahasiswa telah menyadari perilaku-perilaku positif tersebut, dan telah diterapkan secara maksimal dalam hubungan persahabatan. The Tendency of Friendship Quality in Students and It’s Implications for Guidance and Counseling Services (Descriptive Study of Sixth Semester Students of the Faculty of Education, University of Education of Indonesia, Academic Year 2020/2021). The research examines the tendency of friendship quality in the sixth semester of FIP UPI students in the academic year 2020/2021. The research objective was to obtain an overview of the quality of friendship, an overview of every aspect of the quality of friendship among students, and its implications for guidance and counseling services. The quality of friendship is the positive functioning of a very close relationship between two or more individuals who are able to overcome all conflicts that occur. The research method uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The study population was the sixth semester students of FIP UPI. The research sample involved 245 students consisting of study programs of Educational Administration, Guidance and Counseling, Special Education, Community Education, Library and Information, PGPAUD, PGSD, Psychology, and Educational Technology. The technique of collecting friendship quality data uses the Friendship Quality Questionnaire instrument developed by Parker & Asher (1993) and has been adapted by Septiana, N (2016) and Ramadani, N (2017) with a total of 36 statement items. The results showed that in general the quality of friendship between the sixth semester students of FIP UPI in the academic year 2020/2021 was in the high category. The high positive behavior (helping each other, providing support, being friends to confide in, etc.) and the low negative behavior (intensity of conflict, intensity of betrayal, competition, etc.) in the quality of friendship, have been owned by the sixth semester students of FIP UPI. Students have realized these positive behaviors, and have been maximally applied in friendly relationships. Keywords: friendship quality, students
