Abstract

Komunikasi dalam pembelajaran dapat dibantu dengan penggunaan bahan ajar, salah satunya ialah dengan penggunaan pendekatan multimodal. Hal ini sejalan dengan prinsip multimodal yang dapat mengefektifkan komunikasi, sehingga makna yang disampaikan akan lebih mudah dipahami karena penggunaan berbagai moda untuk mendukung makna yang ada.Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui multimodalitas dalam sebuah bahan ajar buku tematik kelas I sekolah dasar. Multimodalitas dalam bahan ajar dianggap penting untuk dianalisis karena dapat berpengaruh dalam proses pembelajaran. Desain penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini ialah pembelajaran sub tema 1 mengenai “lingkungan Rumahku”, yang terdapat tema 6 “lingkungan sehat, bersih, dan asri” pada bahan ajar buku siswa tematik kelas 1 sekolah dasar kurikulum 2013 edisi revisi 2017. Instrument yang digunakan ialah indikator multimodal melalui metafungsi linguistic dan penggunaan makna intersemiosis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang peneliti gunakan ialah studi dokumentasi dengan metodologi analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan temuan indikator multimodal melalui metafungsi linguistik dan intersemiosis. Dari metafungsi linguistik menunjukan moda linguistic, visual, gesture, dan spatial sebanyak 23.73 % dan untuk moda audio sebanyak 5.08%. dari hasil intersemiosis ditemukan secara ideasional 29.73%, interpersonal 37.84%, dan tekstual 33.43%. Hasil ini menunjukan kesimpulan bahwa buku siswa tematik kelas 1 SD belum dapat disebut sebagai bahan ajar multimodal. Implikasi dari penelitian ini sebagai referensi bagi guru untukpengembangan media bahan ajar, sebagai referensi pembaharuan buku siswa, dan menambah khazanah kajian multimodal di Indonesia. ----- Communication in learning can be helped by the use of teaching materials, one of which is the use of multimodal approaches. This goes hand in hand with multimodal, who can make effective use of communication so that its expressed sense will be easier to understand because of the use of various modes to support the same meaning. Based on this, studies were conducted with the aim of learning multimodality in a textbook for thematic grade one school book. Multimodality in the material is considered important for analysis because it can affect the learning process. Research design carried out by researchers is a qualitative approach. The source of data in this study is sub theme 1's study of "my home ward," which includes theme 6 "a healthy, clean, and natural environment" in the 2017 revised 2013 curriculum class 1 student book. The instrument used is a multimodal indicator through selected metaphysical according to Anstey & Bull as well as the use of intersemiosi meaning according to hermawan & sukyadi. The data collection technique that researchers use is the study of documentation with the methodology of content analysis. Research shows the findings of multimodal indicators via linguistic metaphysical and intersemiosis. At the linguistic metaphysical it shows linguistic, visual, gestures, and gestures at 23.73 % and audio moda at 5.08%. Of the results of intersemiosis found ideologically 29.73%, interpersonal 37.84%, and textual 33.43%. The results from the conclusion that the 1stgrade of thematic student books have not been able to be called multimodal teaching. The implication to teachers for the development of media materials, as a student book renewal reference, and supplement multimodal studies in Indonesia.
