Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil pre test siswa dalam mata pelajaran matematika khususnya pada materi konsep pecahan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika yang dirasa masih belum efektif karena pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan masih menggunakan metode konvensional dimana metode yang digunakan tidak relevan dengan materi yang akan disampaikan serta belum adanya alat peraga atau media yang membuat siswa merasa kesulitan untuk membayangkan suatu konsep yang abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana kegiatan pendahuluan, inti, dan penutup pada rancangan pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar mengenai materi konsep pecahan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode delphi menurut Linstone Harold A et al (2002). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan kuisioner. Sedangkan alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah rancangan hipotesis pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar mengenai materi konsep pecahan dan prosedur penyusunan rancangan hipotesis pembelajaran. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah rancangan pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan Realistic Mathematic Education untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar mengenai materi konsep pecahan yang telah disepakati oleh para pakar di bidang pendidikan matematika. Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah apabila ada guru yang memiliki masalah yang sama dalam pembelajaran maka disarankan dapat menggunakan rancangan ini dan peneliti lain dapat melanjutkan penelitian ini dengan menerapkannya pada kelas dan sekolah yang berbeda agar semakin lengkap dan berkembang. This research was motivated by the low pre-test results of students in mathematics, especially in the concept of fractions. This is due to the implementation of mathematics learning which is still not effective because the learning carried out is still using conventional methods where the method used is not relevant to the material to be conveyed and the absence of props or media that makes students find it difficult to imagine an abstract concept. This study aims to describe how the preliminary, core, and closing activities in the learning design based on the Realistic Mathematic Education approach to improve learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students regarding fraction concept material. The method used in this research is the Delphi method according to Linstone Harold A et al (2002). The data collection techniques used in this study observation, interviews and questionnaires, while the data collection tool used was a learning hypothesis design based on the Realistic Mathematic Education approach to improve learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students regarding fraction concept material and the procedure for drafting learning hypotheses. The result of this research is a learning design based on the Realistic Mathematic Education approach to improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students regarding the fraction concept material that has been agreed upon by experts in the field of mathematics education. The suggestion in this study is that if there are teachers who have the same problem in learning, it is suggested that they can use this design and other researchers can continue this research by applying it to different classes and schools to make it more complete and developing.
