Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya mengimplementasikan hakikat sains dalam pembelajaran IPA yaitu dengan mengembangkan keterampilan proses sains dasar pada siswa kelas IV SD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ketersediaan aspek keterampilan proses sains dasar pada buku teks IPA Jelajah Sains SD kelas IV dan mengetahui kesesuaian uraian materi dengan kompetensi dasar IPA yang tercantum dalam kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dan metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu analisis isi. Sumber data penelitian yaitu buku teks IPA Jelajah Sains SD Kelas IV penerbit Yudhistira tahun 2018. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) Dalam buku teks Jelajah Sains SD kelas IV hanya pada bab 3 yang telah tersedia ke enam aspek keterampilan proses sains dasar dengan persentase sebesar 100% serta menunjukkan kategori sangat sesuai dengan keterampilan proses sains. Bab 2, bab 4, dan bab 5 hanya tersedia lima aspek keterampilan proses sains dasar dengan persentase sebesar 83% serta menunjukkan kategori sangat sesuai dengan keterampilan proses sains. Bab 6 hanya tersedia empat aspek keterampilan proses sains dasar dengan persentase sebesar 66% serta menunjukan kategori sesuai dengan keterampilan proses sains. Sedangkan, bab 1 dan bab 7 hanya tersedia tiga aspek keterampilan proses sains dasar dengan persentase sebesar 50% serta menunjukkan kategori sesuai dengan keterampilan proses sains. Ketersediaan aspek keterampilan proses sains dasar yang paling dominan pada setiap bab yaitu keterampilan mengamati dengan jumlah pernyataan indikator sebanyak 61 pernyataan dan keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dengan jumlah pernyataan indikator sebanyak 30 pernyataan. (2) Uraian materi yang disajikan pada setiap bab telah menunjukan kesesuaian dengan kompetensi dasar IPA kelas IV yang tercantum dalam kurikulum 2013 dan persentase yang ditunjukkan yaitu sebesar 100 % serta berada pada kriteria sangat sesuai. ----- This research is motivated by the importance of implementing the nature of science in learning science by developing basic science process skills in fourth grade elementary school students. This study aims to describe the availability of aspects of basic science process skills in class IV Jelajah Sains science textbooks and to determine the suitability of the description of the material with the basic competencies of science listed in the 2013 curriculum. This research is a qualitative research and the research method used is content analysis. Reseach data source is the textbooks Jelajah Sains for Elementary School Grade IV published by Yudhistira in 2018. Data collection is done using a documentation study. Research shows that, (1) In the fourth grade Jelajah Sains textbook only in chapter 3 which has been available to all six aspects of basic science process skills with a percentage of 100% and shows the category very much in accordance with science process skills. Chapters 2, 4, and 5 are only available in five aspects of basic science process skills with a percentage of 83% and show a category that is very compatible with science process skills. Chapter 6 only provides four aspects of basic science process skills with a percentage of 66% and shows categories according to science process skills. Meanwhile, chapters 1 and 7 only provided three aspects of basic science process skills with a percentage of 50% and showed the categories according to science process skills. The most dominant aspects of basic science process skills are available in each chapter, namely the ability to observe with 64 indicator statements and communication skills with 39 indicator statements; (2) The description of the material presented in each chapter has shown conformity to the basic competencies of the fourth grade natural sciences listed in the 2013 curriculum and the percentage indicated is 100% and is in very suitable criteria
