Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil observasi pada pembelajaran tematik yang dilakukan di kelas IVC SDN Pangulah Selatan 1 Kecamatan Kota Baru Kabupaten Karawang. Dalam kegiatan pembelajaran peneliti menemukan beberapa siswa yang aktif mendominasi kelas sehingga siswa yang pasif tidak memiliki kesempatan untuk berbicara. Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dirasa mampu memperbaiki keaktifan belajar siswa adalah dengan menerapkan metode Cooperative Learning tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, penelitian terdiri dari dua siklus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 20 siswa. instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar observasi dan test hasil belajar siswa. Temuan saat penelitian diantaranya 1) keaktifan belajar siswa pada siklus kesatu diperoleh 61.50% meningkat pada siklus kedua sebesar 77.87%; 2) hasil belajar siswa meningkat, rata-rata yang diperoleh pada siklus kesatu sebesar 59 dengan presentase 30% dan pada siklus kedua dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 77.75 dengan presentase 90%. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu adanya perbaikan keaktifan belajar dan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan metode Cooperative Learning tipe Numbered Head Together pada pembelajaran tematik di Sekolah Dasar. This research is motivated by the results of observations on thematic learning IVC SDN Pangulah Selatan 1, Kota Baru District, Karawang Regency. In learning activities, researchers found that some active students dominate the class so that students who are passive don’t have the opportunity to speak. One of the learning methods that are considered capable of improving student learning activeness is by applying the Cooperative Learning method type Numbered Head Together. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research which was devided into two cycles. The research subjects were 20 students. The instrument used in this study was an observation sheet and a test of student learning outcomes. The findings during the study included 1) student learning activeness in the first cycle was obtained 61.50% and in the second cycle was 77.87%; 2) student learning outcomes increased, the average obtained in the first cycle with an average value of 59 with a percentage of 30% and has increased in the second cycle with an average value of 77.75 with a percentage of 90%. The conclusion from the results of this study is an improvement in learning activeness and student learning outcomes through the application of the Cooperative Learning type Numbered Head Together method in thematic learning in primary schools.
