Abstract
Penelitian ini diterapkan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Konstruksi dan Utilitas Gedung di SMK Negeri 9 Garut yang kurang efektif. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan kuisioner pra-penelitian bahwa siswa cenderung kurang aktif di kelas, sebagian besar siswa belum bisa membaca gambar jobsheet, dan siswa memilih bertanya pada teman jika ada materi atau tugas yang belum mengerti. Sehingga, penelitian ini diterapkan metode pembelajaran tutor sebaya, dimana siswa aktif berdiskusi yang dipandu oleh satu orang tutor dari siswa itu sendiri sesuai dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif berupa Pre-Experimental dengan desain Pretest-Posttest One Group Only Design. Hanya ada 1 kelompok kelas eksperimen yang dipilih berdasarkan purposive sample dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 25 orang. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan perhitungan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian yaitu; 1) Penerapan metode pembelajaran tutor sebaya dapat dikatakan sangat baik. Terbukti dari hasil lembar observasi keterlaksanaan metode pembelajaran tutor sebaya yang diisi oleh ketiga observer sebesar 84%. 2) Penerapan metode pembelajaran tutor sebaya mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Ini dibuktikan dengan nilai N-Gain kognitif sebesar 0.6897 ( kategori sedang), N-Gain afektif sebesar 0.60 (kategori sedang), dan N-Gain psikomotor sebesar 0.83 (kategori tinggi). Terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar setelah diterapkan Metode Pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya pada Mata Pelajaran Konstruksi dan Utilitas Gedung. Bahwa hasil hipotesis taraf signifikan ranah penilaian kognitif, psikomotor, dan afektif sebesar 0,00 memenuhi syarat Sig. (2-Tailed)<0.005 berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. This research is applied to increase the students’ learning results in building construction and utility in SMK Negeri 9 Garut that is ineffective. Based on the interview and pre-research questionnaire, it is found that students tend to less-active in the class, most of the students are unable to understand the jobsheet, and the students prefer to ask another student regarding the materials or assignments that they do not understand. Based on the phenomenon, this research is using coeval tutor learning method, where students are actively discussing and are guided with a tutor from the student itself according to the determined criteria. Research method that is used in this research is quantitative in a form of Pre-Experimental with Pretest-Posttest One Group Only design. Only one group that is chosen in experiment class that is chosen by purposive sample that involves 25 students. Data analyzing technique is using N-Gain calculation. The result of the research are; 1) the application of coeval tutor learning method is successful, it is proven by the coeval tutor learning method observation sheet that is filled by three observers reach 84%. 2) the application of coeval tutor learning method is able to increase the learning results. It is proven by the number of N-Gain cognitive 0.6897 (medium category), N-Gain affective 0.60 (medium category), and N-Gain psychomotor 0.83 (high category). The development of learning result is found after the application of coeval learning tutor method in building construction and utility subject. Hypothesis result significant level in cognitive, psychomotor, and affective assessment is 0.00 that meets requirement Sig. (2-Tailed)<0.005 means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.
