Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsepsi siswa sekolah dasar tentang perbandingan. Paradigma yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah fenomenologi hermeneutik yang memandang bahwa suatu realitas makna dapat dipahami dengan menelusuri pengalaman pemaknaannya tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan dengan pengalaman belajar siswa ditelusuri untuk dapat memahami proses terbentuknya konsepsi siswa tentang perbandingan. Konsepsi siswa yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah menyangkut learning obstacle yang dialami siswa dan pengalaman belajar yang melatarbelakangi konsep itu terbentuk. Temuan learning obstacle ini dapat memberikan informasi mengenai bayangan konsep tentang perbandingan dan hal-hal yang menyebabkan konsep itu terbentuk. Sementara itu, pengalaman belajar dapat memberikan informasi mengenai hal-hal yang melatarbelakangi terbentuknya konsepsi tersebut. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah bahwa siswa belum bisa memaknai perbandingan dengan benar. Hasil penelusuran pengalaman belajar yang dialami siswa menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran belum memfasilitasi siswa untuk memahami konsep perbandingan dengan benar. Berdasarkan temuan-temuan tersebut dibuatlah desain didaktis sebagai rekomendasi pembelajaran matematika materi perbandingan. ;---This study aims to know the conception of elementary school students about ratio. The paradigm used in this research is hermeneutic phenomenology which views that a reality of meaning can be understood by tracing its meaningful experience. In this study, matters relating to student learning experiences are traced to understand the process of forming student conceptions of ratio. The conception of students discussed in this research is related to learning obstacle experienced by students and the learning experience behind the concept was formed. The findings of this learning obstacle can provide information about the conceptual images of ratio and the things that led to the concept being formed. Meanwhile, the learning experience can provide information about the things behind the formation of the conception. The research approach used in this research is qualitative approach. The results obtained are that students have not been able to interpret the ratio correctly. The result of the learning experience experienced by the students shows that the learning process has not facilitated the students to understand the concept of ratio correctly. Based on these findings a didactic design was made as a recommendation for mathematics learning on ratio materials.
