    Abstract

    Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah masih jarang ditemuinya lembar kerja siswa (LKS) IPA berbasis keterampilan proses sains di sekolah dasar. LKS IPA berbasis keterampilan proses sains adalah pedoman aktivitas belajar siswa yang berisikan petunjuk dan langkah sistematis meliputi kegiatan mengamati, memprediksikan, mengklasifikasikan, melakukan percobaan, menyimpulkan dan mengkomunikasikan untuk mengkonstruksi konsep IPA pada materi zat tunggal dan campuran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan efektivitas penggunaan LKS IPA berbasis keterampilan proses sains untuk siswa kelas V SD pada materi zat tunggal dan campuran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) model Gall dan Borg (1989). Hasil penilaian ahli media pada uji coba awal diperoleh skor 3,31 dan 3,70 pada uji coba lapangan skala terbatas. Penilaian ahli materi pada uji coba awal diperoleh skor 3,30 dan 3,90 pada uji coba skala terbatas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada uji coba awal sebesar 43%, pada uji coba skala terbatas sebesar 57% dan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest siswa. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan (1) LKS yang dikembangkan sudah layak digunakan berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media, (2) LKS IPA berbasis keterampilan proses sains dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa.:---The background of this research is that there are still rare student worksheets based on science process skills in elementary schools. Science worksheets based on science process skills are guidelines for student learning activities that contain systematic instructions and steps which include observing, predicting, classifying, conducting experiments, concluding and communicating to construct the science concept to single and mixed matter material. This study aims to determine the characteristics and effectiveness of the use of science worksheets based on science process skills for grade V elementary students on single and mixed matter material. This study uses the method of Research and Development (R & D) model Gall and Borg (1989). The results of the assessment of material experts in the initial trial obtained scores of 3.30 and 3.90 in the limited scale trial. Validation of media experts in the initial trials obtained scores of 3.47 and 3.75 in the limited scale field trials. The results of the analysis showed an increase in students' science process skills in the initial trial of 43%, in limited scale trials of 57% and there were significant differences between the pretest and posttest scores of students. So, it can be concluded (1) that the worksheets developed are appropriate to be used based on the assessment of material experts and media experts, (2) the science worksheets based on science process skills can improve students' science process skills.
