Abstract

Model pembelajaran number head together adalah model pembelajaran yang menekankan pada struktur khusus yang dirancang untuk mempengaruhi pola interaksi peserta didik melalui pembentukan kelompok, diskusi masalah, dan tukar jawaban antar kelompok. Proses pembelajaran model berpusat pada peserta didik atau student-centered. Model pembelajaran ini melibatkan peserta didik sehingga peserta didik menjadi aktif dan membantu meningkatkan interaksi antar peserta didik lainnya dalam kelompok-kelompok kecil. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis bagaimana efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran number head together berbantuan media video terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada aspek memberikan penjelasan sederhana (elementary clarification), membangun keterampilan dasar (basic support), membuat kesimpulan (inference), membuat penjelasan lebih lanjut (advance clarification), dan strategi dan taktik (strategy and tactics). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group time series design. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berbentuk uraian berjumlah 12 butir soal. Dalam penelitian diperoleh data adanya peningkatan rata-rata keseluruhan hasil posttest dari rata-rata keseluruhan hasil pretest. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan hasil rata-rata gain (selisih posttest dengan pretest) dari tiga seri yang dilakukan pada kelas eksperimen adalah sebesar 2,48. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan Model pembelajaran number head together berbantuan media video efektif digunakan yang dampaknya meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada aspek memberikan penjelasan sederhana (elementary clarification), membangun keterampilan dasar (basic support), membuat kesimpulan (inference), membuat penjelasan lebih lanjut (advance clarification), dan strategi dan taktik (strategy and tactics). The learning process of the model is learner-centered or student-centered. This learning model involves students so that students become active and help increasing interaction between the other students in small groups. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze how the effectiveness of the application of ‘number head together’ learning model aided by video media to improve students' critical thinking skills on aspects of providing simple explanations (elementary clarification), building basic skills (basic support), making conclusions (inference), make further clarification (advance clarification), and strategy and tactics (strategy and tactics). This research uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental method with one group time series design. The instrument in this research was a test in the form of describing 12 items. In this research, the data obtained an increase in the overall average posttest results from the average overall pretest results. Based on the results of the research that has been done, found that the average gain (the difference between the posttest and the pretest) of the three series conducted in the experimental class is 2.48. So it can be concluded that the use of the number head together learning model assisted by video media is used which has the effect of increasing students' critical thinking skills on aspects of providing simple explanations (elementary clarification), building basic skills (basic support), making conclusions (inference), making more explanations advanced (clarification), and strategy and tactics (strategy and tactics).
