Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur novel dan aspek sosial yang terkandung di dalam novel “Kabandang ku Kuda Lumping” karya Ahmad Bakri sebagai alternatif bahan pembelajaran membaca novel di SMP. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif, yang mempunyai tujuan untuk meneliti keadaan, kondisi, atau hal-hal yang lain yang sudah disebutkan, yang hasilnya ditulis dalam bentuk laporan dengan teknik studi pustaka. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu a) identifikasi dan rumusan masalah, b) mengumpulkan data, c) menganalis data, d) menafsirkan data, dan e) membuat kesimpulan. Data penelitian yang digunakan adalah novel “Kabandang ku Kuda Lumping” karya Ahmad Bakri. Teknik mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini memakai teknik studi pustaka, dengan langkah-langkah yaitu a) mencari sumber data, b) membaca naskah, c) mengidentifikasi masalah, dan d) merumuskan masalah. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu; pertama, struktur novel yang terdiri atas tema, alur, latar, tokoh, watak, dan sarana cerita yang terkandung dalam novel “Kabandang ku Kuda Lumping”; kedua, aspek sosial yang terungkap yaitu aspek keluarga, aspek teman bermain dan aspek lingkungan masyarakat; ketiga, novel “Kabandang ku Kuda Lumping” dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif bahan pembelajaran membaca novel di SMP. Dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa berdasarkan struktur novel dan aspek sosial yang terkandung di dalam novel “Kabandang ku Kuda Lumping” karya Ahmad Bakri dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif bahan pembelajaran membaca novel di SMP. This study aims to describe the structure of the novel and social aspects contained in the novel "Kabandang ku Kuda Lumping" by Ahmad Bakri as an alternative learning material for reading novels in junior high school. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, which has the objective to examine the conditions, conditions, or other things that have been mentioned, the results of which are written in the form of reports with literature study techniques. The research design used is a) identification and formulation of the problem, b) collecting data, c) analyzing the data, d) interpreting the data, and e) making conclusions. The research data used is the novel "Kabandang ku Kuda Lumping" by Ahmad Bakri. The technique of collecting data in this study uses literature study techniques, with steps that are a) looking for data sources, b) reading the script, c) identifying the problem, and d) formulating the problem. The results of this study are; First, the structure of the novel consists of: theme, plot, setting, character, character, and the means of the story contained in the novel "Kabandangku Kuda Lumping"; secondly, the revealed social aspects, namely the family aspect, the playmate aspect and the community environmental aspect; third, the novel "Kabandang ku Kuda Lumping" can be used as an alternative learning material for reading novels in junior high school. Conclusions can be drawn based on the structure of the novel and the social aspects contained in the novel "Kabandang ku Kuda Lumping" by Ahmad Bakri can be used as an alternative learning material for reading novels in junior high school.
