    Abstract

    Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh ketidakmampuan peserta didik dalam meningkatkan kualitas kemampuan berpikir. Pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis merupakan solusi dalam upaya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir peserta didik untuk dapat bersaing secara global. Penelitian bertujuan menguji keefektifan training group untuk pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, metode quasi experimental dengan pola pre-test dan post-test control group design. Partisipan penelitian merupakan 16 orang peserta didik yang dipilih menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling. Penelitian menggunakan instrumen keterampilan berpikir kritis yang diturunkan dari teori Facione. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bimbingan kelompok melalui training group efektif untuk peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Implikasi penelitian direkomendasikan kepada guru BK dan peneliti selanjutnya. ..... The background of this study is the inability of students to increase the quality of thinking skills. Developing student critical thinking skills is the key to increasing the thinking ability of the students in order to compete with others globally. This study aims to investigate the effect of training-group strategy for developing students critical thinking skills. This study applied quantitative approaches, quasi experimental with pre-test and post-test control group design. This study involved of 16 students that are selected by non-probability sampling. This study also applied critical thinking skill instrument modified from critical thinking theory by Facione. Results of the study found that training group is an effective technique to improve critical thinking skills of the students. The implication of this study can be used as a recommendation to guidance-and-counseling teachers and relevant researchers.
