Abstract

Pendidikan pemustaka adalah aktivitas yang dilakukan di ruang lingkup perpustakaan dengan memberikan bimbingan terkait layanan perpustakaan yang tersedia dan juga menyampaikan informasi tentang aksesibilitas yang dapat dilakukan oleh pemustaka. Kelas Literasi merupakan salah satu kegiatan pendidikan pemustaka yang diadakan di Tel-U Openlibrary. Pelaksanaan tersebut merupakan kontribusi peran pustakawan yang menyampaikan materi berdasarkan permintaan materi dari dosen yang berkaitan dengan mata kuliah yang akan disampaikan kepada mahasiswa yang mengontrak mata kuliah yang bersangkutan. Tujuan utama dalam melakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelaksanaan kelas literasi terhadap keterampilan pencarian informasi berdasarkan tahapan pencarian informasi model ISP (Information Search Process). Model tersebut terdiri dari tahapan inisiasi, seleksi, eksplorasi, formulasi, koleksi, dan presentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik penentuan sampel adalah teknik cluster sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dalam bentuk google forms. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan positif mengenai pelaksanaan kelas literasi terhadap pencarian informasi,baik dalam segi tahapan inisiasi, seleksi, eksplorasi, formulasi, koleksi dan presentasi pencarian informasi. Pada tahapan inisiasi pencarian informasi mahasiswa sudah cukup setelah melaksanakan kegiatan tersebut, namun mahasiswa beranggapan setelah mengikuti pelaksanaan kelas literasi dalam keterampilan tahapan eksplorasi, koleksi dan presentasi pencarian informasi masih rendah. Artinya, mahasiswa dalam menyelidiki informasi secara umum dan mengumpulkan informasi masih belum terampil. Mahasiswa program studi akuntansi S1 Tel-U dalam keterampilan tahapan seleksi dan formulasi pencarian informasi sangat rendah yang didalamnya memiliki keterampilan mengidentifikasi topik umum dan merumuskan fokus.;--User education is an activity carried out in the scope of the library by providing guidance related to library services available and also communicate information about accessibility that can be done by the user. Literacy Class is one of the user education activities held at Tel-U Openlibrary. The implementation is a contribution of the role of librarians who deliver material based on requests from lecturers relating to the subject matter that will be delivered to students who contract the courses concerned. The main objective in conducting this research is to determine the effect of the implementation of literacy classes on information search skills based on the stages of searching for information models of the ISP (Information Search Process). The model consists has six stages namely initiation, selection, exploration, formulation, collection, and presentation. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The sampling technique is a cluster sampling technique. The instrument used in the form of a questionnaire in the form of google forms. Analysis of the data used is simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a significant positive effect on the implementation of literacy classes on information seeking, both in terms of the stages of initiation, selection, exploration, formulation, collection and presentation of information seeking. At the initiation stage of information retrieval, students are sufficient after carrying out these activities, but students assume after attending the literacy class in the exploration, collection and presentation stages of information skills are still low. That is, students in investigating information in general and gathering information are still not skilled. Undergraduate Tel-U accounting program students in the selection and formulation stages of information search skills are very low in which have the skills to identify general topics and formulize information focus.
