Abstract

Buku teks mempunyai peran penting dalam pembelajaran peserta didik di sekolah. Buku teks merupakan sumber belajar yang sangat penting untuk mendukung tercapainya kompetensi yang menjadi tujuan pembelajaran. Selain itu, buku teks merupakan sarana pendukung untuk melaksanakan pendidikan karakter. Pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter perlu didukung oleh sarana seperti buku teks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui muatan nilai karakter yang terdapat pada buku teks PPKn. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis konten (conten analysis) suatu metode untuk menganalisis isi dari suatu buku teks. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dua sekolah, yaitu SMP Negeri 1 Sumber dengan Buku Teks Pendamping PPKn Kelas VII Kurikulum 2013 Revisi dengan penulis Wahyu Datik dan Yustina Widi Andarti dari penerbit Yudhistira Ghalia Indonesia. SMP Negeri 2 Sumber dengan Buku Teks Pendamping PPKn Untuk SMP/MTs Kelas VII dengan dengan penulis M. Taupan dan Ine Ariyani S dari penerbit Widya Aksara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kesesuaian isi materi dalam Buku Teks Pendamping PPKn dalam perspektif Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) secara umum muatan nilai-nilai utama sudah termuat dan tersebar dikedua buku teks. Penyajian muatan nilai-nilai karakter termuat ke dalam materi pembelajaran, membangun konsep, telaah, uji kompetensi, soal latihan, dan gambar. Kebahasaan dalam Buku Teks Pendamping PPKn telah sesuai dengan tingkat berfikir dan kematangan sosio-emosional peserta didik. Kegrafikan Buku Teks Pendamping PPKn termuat dalam penyajian ilustrasi gambar dan tabel. Ilustrasi gambar sebagai sarana mengungkapkan kejadian di dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang diekspresikan melalui gambar. Ilutrasi tabel memudahkan peserta didik untuk membaca maksud dari yang diminta oleh buku teks pendamping. Textbooks are a very important source of learning to support the achievement of competencies that are learning objectives. This study aims to determine the content of character values contained in the Citizenship Education textbook. The method used in this research is content analysis (conten analysis) a method for analyzing the contents of a textbook. This research was conducted in two schools, namely SMP Negeri 1 Sumber with Textbooks for Citizenship Education Class VII Curriculum 2013 Revised by the authors Wahyu Datik and Yustina Widi Andarti from the publisher Yudhistira Ghalia Indonesia. The results showed that the suitability of the contents of the material in the Citizenship Education Textbook in Character Education perspective in general the contents of the main values have been contained and spread in both textbooks. Presentation of the contents of the character values contained in the learning material, building concepts, studies, competency tests, practice questions, and pictures. The language in the Citizenship Education Textbook is in accordance with the level of thinking and socio-emotional maturity of students. The Citizenship Education Textbook is contained in the presentation of illustrations and tables. Image illustration as a means of expressing events in daily life expressed through images.
