Abstract

Kompetensi Pedagogik Mahasiswa PPL (Studi Fenomenologi Transendental pada Mahasiswa PPL Bahasa Arab) Ahmad Faqih, Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia 2019 Email: ahmadfaqih@upi.edu Abstrak Salah satu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang guru adalah kompetensi pedagogik. Kompetensi pedagogik adalah kemampuan dalam mengelola pembelajaran dari mulai perencanaan sampai evaluasi. Tujuan umum yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang pelaksanaan program PPL mahasiswa bahasa Arab. Adapun secara khusus penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan kompetensi pedagogik mahasiswa. Baik secara konsep pengetahuan maupun pelaksanaannya ketika PPL berlangsung. Pengkajian terhadap topik ini adalah karena pelaksanaan PPL memiliki keterkaitan dengan peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi fenomenologi transendental kualitatif karena peneliti memfokuskan pada pengalaman para mahasiswa selama melaksanakan praktik lapangan. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk meneliti pada kondisi obyek yang alamiah. Fenomena yang didapat dari hasil penelitian adalah tidak semua tahapan PPL dilakukan. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah kurangnya mahasiswa dalam literasi, sehingga tidak mengetahui tahapan atau prosedur PPL yang harus ditempuh. Pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap konsep dan komponen kompetensi pedagogik masih kurang. Berdasarkan hasil telaah peneliti menemukan bahwa struktur kurikulum mata kuliah yang berkaitan dengan kompetensi pedagogik rentangnya terlalu jauh dengan pelaksanaan PPL. Meskipun secara konsep dan pengetahuan mahasiswa masih kurang, tetapi dalam pelaksanaannya sudah cukup baik. Beberapa faktor yang mendorong terjadinya fenomena ini adalah karena adanya tuntutan dari sekolah dan kampus yang sudah dijelaskan di dalam prosedur PPL. Ini berarti pelaksanaan program pengalaman lapangan yang dilaksanakan memberikan efek perubahan yang signifikan kepada mahasiswa terutama dalam peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik. Pedagogic competence is the ability to manage learning from planning to evaluation. The general objective to be achieved in this study is to get an overview of the implementation of the PPL program for Arabic students. In particular, this research aims to reveal the pedagogical competence of students. Both the concept of knowledge and its implementation when field experience program takes place. The study of this topic is because the implementation of the program has a relationship with the improvement of student pedagogical competencies. This study uses a qualitative transcendental phenomenology study because researchers focus on the experiences of students while carrying out field practice. A qualitative approach is used to examine the condition of natural objects. The phenomenon obtained from the results of the study is that not all stages of the program are carried out. One reason is the lack of students in literacy, so they do not know the stages or procedures for the program that must be taken. Students' understanding of the concepts and components of pedagogical competence is still lacking. Based on the results of the study the researchers found that the structure of the course curriculum related to pedagogical competence was too far apart from the implementation of the program. Although the concept and knowledge of students is still lacking, the implementation is quite good. Some of the factors that encourage the occurrence of this phenomenon are due to the demands of the school and campus that have been described in the procedure of the program. This means that the implementation of the field experience program implemented has had a significant effect on students, especially in improving pedagogical competence.
