    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya disiplin belajar siswa kelas III sekolah dasar. Dalam pembelajaran, guru hanya menggunakan metode ceramah sehingga menyebabkan suasana kelas menjadi membosankan dan tidak kondusif untuk belajar. Selain itu, tidak adanya aturan atau tata tertib yang berlaku di kelas menyebabkan siswa tidak memiliki kesadaran untuk bersikap disiplin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapanpembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) untuk meningkatkan disiplin belajar siswa kelas III sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), terdiri dari dua siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SDN CK yang berjumlah 24 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan disiplin belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan setiap siklusnya, pada siklus I disiplin belajar siswa sebesar 69,27% dan pada siklus II meningkat 10,59% menjadi 79,86%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatkan disiplin belajar siswa kelas III sekolah dasar.

    APPLICATION OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING TYPE TEAM GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) TO IMPROVE LEARNING DISCIPLINE OF III GRADE STUDENT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

    This research is based on the low of learning discipline of the third grade student elementary school. In learning, teachers only used conventional method so that makes student feel bored and not conducive to learn. Beside it, in the classroom not apply rules, so students haven’t the awareness to be discipline. This research is to describe the application of cooperative learning type Team Games Tournamnet (TGT) to improve learning diciplie of third grade student elementary school. The research method used was classroom action research, consisting of two cycles covering the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subject are the third students of SDN CK which is by 24 student. Data collection techniques used are observation and field note. The result of research showed improvement in each cycle , in first cycle of 69,27% and in cycle II increased by 10,59% to 79,86%. Can be concluded that application of cooperative learning type Team Games Tournamnet (TGT) can improvelearning discipline of the third grade student elementary school.
