Abstract

Memiliki kemampuan membaca pemahaman itu sangat penting, siwa diharapkan mampu memahami apa yang telah dibacanya. Namun, masih banyak siswa yang merasa bahwa membaca adalah kegiatan yang membosankan. Salah satu faktor yang membuat hal itu terjadi adalah siswa tidak terbiasa membaca, dengan begitu siswa tidak memiliki banyak kosa kata. Oleh karena itu, demi mencapai tujuan pembelajaran secara maksimal dalam kegiatan membaca maka diterapkanlah metode guide reading (GR) dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian Tindakan kelas (PTK) ini dilaksanakan disalah satu sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Astana Anyar Kota Bandung dengan subjek penelitian kelas IV C dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 33 siswa. Adapun tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tema 8 dan tema 9 dengan menerapkan metodepembelajaran guide reading, dengan tahapan mulai dari tahap prabaca, tahap membaca, dan tahap pascabaca. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat instrumen pembelajaran berupa rencana pembelajaran dan kisi-kisi soal, adapun instrumen penelitianya itu lembar observasi aktivitas siswa serta temuan, lembar kerja siswa, dan lembar evaluasi siswa. Pengolahan dan pengumpulan data berdasar instrumen yang digunakan. Penerapan metode guide reading dalam pembelajaran didapatkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa pada siklus I mendapat 73, pada siklus II mendapat 82, dan pada siklus III menjadi 88. Ketuntasan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa pada siklus I sebesar 42%, pada siklus II sebesar 88%, meningkat siklus III sebesar 97% dari keseluruhan siswa sebanyak 33 siswa. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan metode guide reading (GR) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar.-- Having a ability of reading comprehension was very important. The student are expected to understand what she had. However, many students feel that reading is an activity that is boring. One factor that made it happen is students are not accustomed to reading, with so many students don't have the vocabulary. Therefore, in order to achieve the learning objectives to the maximum in the activity of reading then the applyed method of guide reading (GR) in the learning process. Class action research is conducted once of one elementary school in the district of Astana Anyar in city of Bandung with class IV C of the subject with a number of students as much as 33 students as for research purposes in this class action is making every effort to improve reading understanding of grade IV. This research was carried out on the theme 8 theme 9 and by applying the method of learning guide reading, with stages starting from the stage of before reading, stages of reading, and stage after reading. As for the instruments used in this study is there is an instrument in the form of learning plans learning and lattice problem, there is any instrument that observation activity sheet the research students and the student worksheet, findings, and sheet evaluation of students. Processing and data collection based on the instruments used. Application of the method of guide reading in learning is obtained that the average reading skills of students in understanding the data cycle I got 73, at 82, II cycle and cycle III be 88. The completedability of reading comprehension of students in cycle I of 42%, cycle II amounted to 88%, increase cycle III to 97% of all students by as much as 33 students. It can be concluded that a study using the method of guide reading (GR) can increase the ability of reading comprehension grade IV elementary school.
