Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masih rendahnya tingkat aktivitas belajar siswa kelas V di salah satu SD Negeri di Kota Bandung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan PAKEM untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas V tersebut. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) dengan model penelitian spriral dari Kemmis dan Taggart yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus dengan beberapa tahapan dalam satu siklusnya yaitu meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar observasi kegiatan pembelajaran, lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa, dan catatan lapangan. Penelitian ini mengambil subjek penelitian siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 38 orang. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I mencapai persentase sebesar 66,4% Kemudian mengalami peningkatan sebesar 26,1% menjadi 92,5%. Dengan demikian, penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran aktif, kreatif, efektif dan menyenangkan (PAKEM) bisa menjadi salah satu alternatif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa khususnya kelas V sekolah dasar.-- This research is due to the background of student learning activities of 5th grade in one of elementary school in Bandung that still low. This research has a purpose to describe the application of PAKEM approach to increase the learning activities of 5th grade students. The implementation of this research was conducted using PTK (Classroom Action Research) method with spiral research model from Kemmis and Taggart which was done in two cycles with several stages in one cycle that covers planning, action, observation and reflection phase. The instruments used in this study are observation sheet of learning activities, observation sheet of student learning activities, and field notes. This research took the subject of research of 5th grade students which amounted to 38 people. The results of this research in the first cycle reached a percentage of 66.4% Then increased by 26.1% to 92.5%. Thus, the application of active, creative, effective and joyful learning approach (PAKEM) can be one of alternative in improving student learning activity especially for 5th grade students of elementary school.
