Abstract

Kekeliruan interaksi simbolik dalam proses pembelajaran
mengakibatkan tujuan instruksional yang ditetapkan belum tercapai.
Masalah ini semakin kompleks ketika tujuan intruksional tersebut
dalam bentuk karakter. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memiliki tiga
tujuan. Pertama, mendeskripsikan interaksi simbolik yang terjadi di
kelas II Sekolah Dasar. Kedua, menganalisis tafsiran partisipan (guru
dan siswa) terhadap interaksi simbolik yang dilakukan. Ketiga,
mendeskripsikan karakter yang muncul akibat interaksi tersebut. Oleh
karena itu, metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah
deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun teknik yang digunakan yaitu wawancara
dan observasi. Subjek penelitiannya adalah guru dan siswa, sedangkan
objeknya adalah bahasa biasa, simbol matematika, dan simbol
nondiskursif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada pola interaksi
simbolik yang keliru dalam bahasa biasa, simbol matematika, dan
simbol nondiskursif. Akibatnya, proses internalisasi nilai di kelas ini
masih rendah. Ada dua nilai yang dibina di kelas tersebut. Kedua nilai
ini yaitu nilai utama dan nilai-nilai pengiring. Nilai utamanya adalah
disiplin. Secara keseluruhan, pola interaksi yang dilakukan guru
belum ada yang mengantarkan siswa ke tahap karakter, hanya pada
tahap informasi dan sikap saja. Pada proses internalisasi nilai di kelas
ini, tahap terendah adalah tahap informasi dan tahap tertinggi hanya
sampai pada tahap sikap saja. Dengan demikian, diperlukan materi
interaksi simbolik bagi calon guru di Sekolah Dasar sebagai pondasi
Pendidikan Umum.;--The fallacy of symbolic interaction in the learning process leads to an
established instructional goal not being achieved. The problem is
increasingly complex when the intentional purpose is in the form of
characters. Thus, this study has three objectives. First, describe the
symbolic interactions that occur in class II of Elementary School.
Second, analyze the interpretation of participants (teacher and student)
to the symbolic interaction. Third, describe the characters that arise
from the interaction. Therefore, the method used in this study is
descriptive qualitative. The technique used is interview and
observation. Research subjects are teachers and students, while the
object is ordinary language, mathematics symbol, and nondiscursive
symbol. The results of this study indicate that there is an erroneous
pattern of symbolic interaction in ordinary language, mathematics
symbol, and nondiscursive symbol. As a result, the process of
internalizing values in this class is still low. There are two values built
in that class. These two values are the main values and companion
values. The main value is discipline. Overall, the pattern of interaction
by teachers has not yet taken a student to the character stage, only at
the stage of information and attitude. In the process of internalization
of values in this class, the lowest stage is the stage of information and
the highest stage only to the stage of attitude. Thus, symbolic
interaction materials are needed for prospective teachers in elementary
schools as the foundation of General Education.
