    Abstract

    Supervisi akademik dan kompetensi guru merupakan dua hal yang perlu diperhatikan oleh suatu lembaga Taman Kanak-kanak. Permasalahan yang sering ditemui adalah masih banyaknya kompetensi guru yang belum sesuai dengan standar kompetensi guru PAUD. Begitu juga dalam hal supervisi akademik, masih banyak kepala Taman Kanak-kanak yang belum melaksanakan kegiatan supevisi akademik yang seharusnya dilakukan guna meningkatkan kompetensi kepala PAUD. Jika hal ini terus terjadi, maka kompetensi Kepala Taman Kanak-kanak dan kompetensi guru Taman Kanak-kanak akan menurun sehingga menyebabkan suatu pembelajaran yang kurang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara supervisi akademik kepala Taman Kanak-kanak dengan kompetensi guru Taman Kanak-kanak di Kecamatan Coblong Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian korelasional dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman Rank. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru Taman Kanak-kanak di Kecamatan Coblong Kota Bandung yang berjumlah 116 orang dan seluruhnya dijadikan sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara supervisi akademik kepala Taman Kanak-kanak dengan Kompetensi Guru Taman Kanak-kanak di Kecamatan Coblong Kota Bandung. Hal ini terlihat dari signifikansi yang diperoleh yaitu 0,000 < 0,005 yang artinya H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,421 yang berada pada kategori hubungan sedang dengan memberikan kontribusi terhadap kompetensi guru sebesar 17,7%. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini bagi kepala Taman Kanak-kanak untuk meningkatkan pelaksanaan supervisi akademik guna meningkatkan kompetensi guru Taman Kanak-kanak.----
    Academic supervision and teacher’s competence are two aspects that require the attention of a kindergarten institution. The problem that is often met is the large amount of teachers and principle’s academic supervision that lack the standard competence. If this continues, then the competence of kindergarten principals and teachers will decrease, and cause an inefficient class. This research aims to discover the relation between kindergarten principal’s academic supervision with kindergarten teacher’s competence in Coblong District, Bandung City. The method used is a correlational research with Spearman’s correlation test. The population of the research is all of the teachers in the kindergarten of Coblong District, Bandung City, with the sum of 116 people becoming the sample. The result shows that there is a relation between kindergarten principal’s academic supervision with kindergarten teacher’s competence in Coblong District, Bandung City. This can be seen from the significance obtained of 0.000 < 0.005, which indicates that H0 is denied, while Ha is accepted, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.421 and contribution of 17.7%. This research recommends that kindergarten principals should increase the conduct of academic supervision in order to increase kindergarten teacher’s competence.
