Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan industri saat ini yang menekankan pada otomatisasi, konektivitas, dan efisiensi produksi tentu membutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang memiliki kompetensi yang sesuai dengan perkembangan dan kebutuhan dunia kerja saat ini. Hal tersebut yang menyebabkan dilakukannya perubahan pada struktur kurikulum pendidikan kejuruan di Indonesia, salah satunya perubahahan spektrum keahlian SMK. Perubahan tersebut dilakukan guna menyelaraskan kurikulum SMK dengan tuntutan dunia kerja, sebagaimana tujuan dari Pendidikan Menengah Kejuruan itu sendiri, yaitu untuk mempersiapkan peserta didik untuk dapat bekerja dalam bidang tertentu. Adanya perubahan pada spektrum keahlian SMK tentunya perlu di respon oleh program studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan yang baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung memiliki keterkaitan dengan SMK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran umum persepsi mahasiswa tentang perubahan spektrum keahlian SMK dan kesesuaiannya dengan kurikulum PTB. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Intrumen pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kuesioner atau angket. Populasi penelitian ini merupakan seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan FPTK UPI angkatan 2014 sampai dengan 2016 dengan jumlah mahasiswa 176 orang. Kuesioner disebar kepada sampel penelitian yang berjumlah 126 orang dan diambil menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling dengan bantuan Nomogram Harry King. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa menyatakan bahwa perubahan spektrum keahlian SMK dinilai memiliki dampak yang cukup baik bagi pendidikan menengah kejuruan meskipun masih terdapat kekurangan sehingga perlu dilakukan perbaikan, dan sebagian besar mahasiswa menyatakan bahwa kurikulum PTB saat ini dianggap masih sesuai dengan spektrum keahlian yang baru namun Program Studi PTB tetap dirasa perlu untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan perubahan yang terjadi pada spektrum keahlian SMK Kata kunci : Persepsi, Spektrum Keahlian SMK, Kurikulum, Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan The development of science, technology and industry is currently the emphasis on automation, connectivity, and production efficiency would require human resources competencies in accordance with the development and needs of today's workforce. This is the cause for changes in the structure of vocational education curriculum in Indonesia, one of which is the change in the spectrum of vocational high school expertise. The changes were made in order to align Vocational High School curriculum with the demand of the work environment, as the purpose of vocational education itself, which is to prepare students to able to work in certain fields. The change in the spectrum of Vocational High School expertise certainly needs to be responded to by the Building Engineering Education study program which either directly or indirectly related to the Vocational High School. This research aimed to describe the general picture of student's perceptions of spectrum change of Vocational High School expertise and its suitability with Building Engineering Education curriculum. The research methods that were use is descriptive method with quantitative approach, while the data collection techniques that were use is questionnaires. This research population is all students of Building Engineering Education study program FPTK UPI force in 2014 to 2016 with the number of students 126 people. Questionnaires were distributed to the research sample of 126 people and retrieved using proportionate stratified random sampling technique with the help of Nomogram Harry King. The results showed that the majority of students stated that the change in the spectrum of Vocational High School expertise was considered to have a considerable impact on vocational education even though there were still shortcomings that need to be improved, and most of the students stated that the current Building Engineering Education curriculum is still deemed accordance to the new spectrum of expertise but the Building Engineering Education study program is still remains necessary to adjust to the changes in the spectrum of Vocational High School expertise.
