    Abstract

    Saat ini pendidikan dituntut untuk terus berkembang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman yang semakin canggih. Proses pembelajaran yang terjadi di sekolah saat ini lebih menekankan kepada Hard Skills dan kurang menekankan kepada Soft Skills. Hal ini disebabkan karena dalam praktiknya pembelajaran yang dilakukan di sekolah masih banyak yang berjalan apa adanya yang mana pembelajarannya masih memindahkan pengetahuan dari guru kepada siswa, maka untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut diterapkan model Discovery Learning dalam proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan aspek Soft Skills siswa khusunya dalam kemampuan berkomunikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas, tujuan dari penggunaan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yaitu untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan pembelajaran. Adapun tahapan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini meliputi lembar observasi aktivitas guru, dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Hasil observasi kemampuan berkomunikasi siswa pada tindakan siklus I diperoleh presentase 29,62%, pada tindakan siklus II mengalami peningkatan yaitu diperoleh presentase 54,83%, dan pada tindakan siklus III diperoleh presentase 70,16%. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan model Discovery Learning pada pembelajaran PKn dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi siswa.;---Nowadays, education is required to grow in accordance with the increasingly sophisticated era. The learning process has been occured in schools is more emphasis on Hard Skills then Soft Skills. This is because in practice, the learning actvity in class is still running as it is, the learning is just transfer knowledge from teacher to students, therefore to overcome the problem, applied the model of Discovery Learning in the learning process conducted by teacher with the aim to develop aspects of students’ Soft Skills especially in communicative ability. This research uses a qualitative and quantitative approach with the method of Classroom Action Research. The purpose of using this method is to improve and increase the quality learning. The stages of this study include: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data obtained in this research include the observation sheet of teacher’s and students’activity. The result of observation of students' ability to communicate in the 1st cycle action is 29.62%, the 2nd cycle is increased by 54.83% and the 3rd cycle is 70.16%. Based on the results of observation, it can be concluded that by applying the model of Discovery Learning on Civics learning can improve the ability to communicate of students.
