Abstract

Untuk dapat membawa anak agar dapat mengapresiasi sebuah karya seni memang memerlukan inovasi yang sesuai. Melalui produk batik, orang tua dapat sedikit demi sedikit mengajak anak untuk mengenal salah satu budaya bangsa ini. Namun, perlu kesesuaian antara hasil produk dan tujuan pembuatan produk tersebut, karena kita tidak bisa memaksakan anak untuk mengenal batik yang bentuk dan motifnya sendiri kurang dimengerti oleh mereka. Maka saat ini muncul beberapa inovasi desain yang berhubungan dengan batik yang dapat memudahkan proses pembelajaran dan pengenalan, baik dari media pembelajaran, maupun dari produk batik lainnya seperti fashion, elemen interior, dan karya batik murni. Metode penciptaan karya ini menggunakan metode eksplorasi motif angka dan hewan laut yang kemudian diaplikasikan pada kain dan kayu, dengan menggunakan teknik batik lukis dan batik printing. Hasil yang diharapkan dari penciptaan karya ini adalah: 1) Menumbuhkan rasa cinta anak – anak terhadap batik sebagai budaya bangsa Indonesia, 2) Menjadi motivasi dan referensi desainer dan inovator untuk membuat desain produk batik untuk anak selanjutnya. ---- To be able to bring children to appreciate a work of art does require appropriate innovation. Through batik products, parents can little by little invite children to know one of the culture of this nation. But, we need to conform the products and the purpose of making these products, because we can’t force the child to know batik form and motive itself is not understood by them. So from now on there are several design innovations related to batik that can facilitate the process of learning and the introduction, both from learning media, and from other batik products such as fashion, interior elements, and pure batik products. The method of creation of this work using explorations of numerical patterns and marine animals which are then applied to the fabric, and wood by using some batik’s technique likes painting techniques, and printing. Expected results from the creation of this work are: 1) motivate the child’s to love batik as the culture of the Indonesian nation, 2) Being a motivator and reference designers and innovators to make batik product design for the child soon
