Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembinaan karakter semangat kebangsaan melalui Value Clarification Technique (VCT) baik pada pembelajaran IPS maupun di luar pembelajaran di kelas V SD Negeri 06 Nanga Pinoh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah, guru kelas lima, dan siswa kelas lima SD. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) pembinaan karakter semangat kebangsaan pada mata pelajaran IPS terintegrasi dengan pembelajaran, yaitu a) pada kegiatan pendahuluan dilakukan apersepsi dengan menyanyikan lagu-lagu wajib nasional, b) pada kegiatan inti dilakukan dengan teknik klarifikasi nilai-nilai juang para tokoh pejuang dengan bantuan film dokumenter, c) pada kegiatan penutup dilakukan melalui proses refleksi pembelajaran; 2) pembinaan karakter semangat kebangsaan di luar kegiatan pembelajaran berupa program pembiasaan yang dilakukan sekolah, seperti Senyum-Sapa-Salam, Pelinit, Gelanas, Tertib Upacara, dan Cinta Polisi dan TNI.---- This qualitative research aimed to understand the process of nurturing national spirit character using Value Clarification Technique (VCT) inside and outside the instructional process in class V of SD Negeri 06 Nanga Pinoh. The research used descriptive method. The subject of the research were the principal, class V homeroom teacher, and class V students, The data was collected using interview, observation, and documentation. The results showed that: 1) the nurture of national spirit character in social studies instructions was integrated to the instructional process, namely a) singing national songs as aperception technique during the preliminary activity, b) clarificating the fighting spirit and value of national heroes using documentary films, and c) reflecting on the national spirit character during the closing activity; 2) the nurture of national spirit character outside the instructional process was conducted using school habituation programs such as Smile-Greet-Shake, Pelinit, Gelanas, Flag Ceremonial Order, and Love The Police and Army Force.
