    Abstract

    Penerapan Kurikulum 2013 menuntut masing-masing satuan pendidikan untuk menerapkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik (scientific learning). Sedangkan model pembelajaran yang digunakan di SMKN 1 Cikalongkulon Cianjur masih menggunakan model konvensional. Salah satu model yang sesuai dengan pendekatan saintifik adalah model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Produksi Hasil Nabati dibandingkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah yaitu metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain (Nonequivalent Control Group Design). Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI TPHP 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas XI TPHP 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar secara kognitif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada perolehan data N-gain untuk kelompok kontrol interpretasi peningkatan N-gain berada pada kategori sedang dan rendah, sedangkan untuk kelompok eksperimen dengan model Problem Based Learning memiliki nilai interpretasi peningkatan berada pada kategori tinggi. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel , sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Probelm Based Learning lebih baik dibandingkan metode konvensional.-----Application of Curriculum 2013 requires each educational unit to apply learning with scientific approach (scientific learning). While the learning model used in SMKN 1 Cikalongkulon Cianjur still use conventional model. One of the models that suits the scientific approach is the Problem Based Learning model. This study aimed to compare between problem-based learning model and conventional model based on study result of students on vegetative production subject. The method of this study used quasi-experiment and the research design was nonequivalent control group design. Whole samples were divided into two groups, namely experiment group, and control group. Study result test was the way to collect the data. As a result, N-gain data of control group was in moderate and low level, while experiment group had a high level of N-gain. Furthermore, t-test demonstrated that tcount was higher than ttable. Thus, Problem Based Learning model is better than the conventional model.
