Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan memecahkan masalah ekonomi pada peserta didik kelas X IPS SMAN 1 Ciparay. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode pembelajaran Group Investigation dan Games Simulation serta interaksinya dengan pengetahuan awal dalam meningkatkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah ekonomi. Dengan model kuasi eksperimen desain faktorial 3X3, hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan metode pembelajaran Group Investigation dan Games Simulation mempengaruhi peningkatan kemampuan memecahkan masalah ekonomi dan memberikan peningkatan lebih tinggi dibandingkan metode pembelajaran Group Investigation. Terdapat interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dengan pengetahuan awal siswa pada metode pembelajaran Games Simulation terutama pada siswa yang memiliki pengetahuan awal tinggi.;---This research is motivated by the low ability to solve economic problems in the students of class X IPS SMAN 1 Ciparay. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of Group Investigation and Games Simulation learning methods and their interaction with prior knowledge in improving their ability to solve economic problems. With the quasi-experimental 3X3 factorial design experiments, the results of the study shows that the use of Group Investigation and Games Simulation methods influences the increasing ability to solve the economic problems and provides higher improvement than Group Investigation learning methods. There is an interaction between learning methods with the prior knowledge of students on the Simulation games method, especially in students who have a high prior knowledge.
