KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN ADAPTIF MATEMATIS SISWA SMP MELALUI MODEL PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING

    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan penalaran adaptif siswa melalui model PBL, dengan menggunakan metode kuasi ekperimen terhadap dua kelas VIII yang dipilih dari 11 kelas yang ada di salah satu SMP di Kecamatan Sukasari Kota Bandung. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) Peningkatan kemampuan penalaran adaptif matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model PBL lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung, (2) Pencapaian kemampuan penalaran adaptif matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model PBL lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung, (3) Pada kelas PBL diperoleh bahwa: (a) Pencapaian indikator pada kelompok PAPBLT yang disusun dari pencapaian terendah sampai tertinggi adalah indikator no 2, 3, 1, 4, (b) Pencapaian indikator pada kelompok PAPBLS yang disusun dari pencapaian terendah sampai tertinggi adalah indikator no 2, 1, 3, 4, (c) Pencapaian indikator pada kelompok PAPBLR yang disusun dari pencapaian terendah sampai tertinggi adalah indikator no 2, 4, 1, 3. Pada kelas pembelajaran langsung diperoleh bahwa: (a) Pencapaian indikator pada kelompok PAPLT yang disusun dari pencapaian terendah sampai tertinggi adalah indikator no 1, 3, 2, 4, (b) Pencapaian indikator pada kelompok PAPLS yang disusun dari pencapaian terendah sampai tertinggi adalah indikator no 2, 3, 4, 1, (c) Pencapaian indikator pada kelompok PAPLR yang disusun dari pencapaian terendah sampai tertinggi adalah indikator no 2, 3, 1, 4;--- The purpose of this study was to determine mathematical adaptive reasoning ability of student through PBL model, using quasi-experimental methods of two classes VIII selected from 11 classes in one of junior high school in the District Sukasari Bandung. The statistical test used was t-test. The result shows that (1) Improvement of mathematical adaptive reasoning ability of student who used PBL model were better than student who use direct learning, (2) Achievement of mathematical adaptive reasoning ability of student who used PBL model were better than student who use direct learning, (3) In PBL class show that: (a) Indicator achievement in PAPBLT group that arrange from the lowest achievement to the highest is indicator 2, 3, 1, 4, (b) Indicator achievement in PAPBLS group that arrange from the lowest achievement to the highest is indicator 2, 1, 3, 4, (c) Indicator achievement in PAPBLR group that arrange from the lowest achievement to the highest is indicator 2, 4, 1, 3. In direct learning show that: (a) Indicator achievement in PAPLT group that arrange from the lowest achievement to the highest is indicator 1, 3, 2, 4, (b) Indicator achievement in PAPLS group that arrange from the lowest achievement to the highest is indicator 2, 3, 4, 1, (c) Indicator achievement in PAPLR group that arrange from the lowest achievement to the highest is indicator 2, 3, 1, 4.
